Kinda disappointed by those numbers considering we have DWAS which is shaping up to be the biggest song ever and a viral hit in Abracadabra, and still cant even outsell Chromatica 1/4 of those vinyl were probably from people in this board lol Like a poem said by a lady in red
Alfonso 1,534
Yay!! Nice to see we got another #1 album. I'm surprised by the number tho, I thought it would be higher but oh well. It will probably end up selling more WW at the end, as her prior albums have done. Did DWAS even do anything numbers wise?
Monstermilo 4,198
the fact that DWAS is the only top 10 song is kinda sad though.................

BABYL0N 3,079
I hate how some of you guys keep miscrediting her for DWAS as if it’s not her song. You are doing exactly what dumb stan Twitter trolls want atp, and the internalized misogyny in that is insane. Yes, DWAS carried the album—so what? It’s her song. She can include it on LG8 again if she wants to. She has writing and production credits on it, and it would have never been a hit without her. And Abracadabra still hasn’t had its peak in the US, obviously due to radio. Can’t you just f*cking enjoy the music for once? CONGRATS GAGA couldn‘t be more proud of her and the art she is creating, can’t wait for whats to come with this amazing era 11

fede ARTPOP 6,683
I think a better cover could have made it better, the OG is kinda creepy for kids/soccer moms and GP. MAYHEM / ARTPOP

You maybe tired of this narrative but it is the truth. 13 hours ago, andy232000 said: Yes, Mayhem did not have tour bundles, but it had a massive rollout, promo spots, a #1 hit single, over 145% increase in monthly listeners and critical acclaim. Gaga’s image is also more healthy. Mayhem should’ve matched Chromaticas range and make at least 260-280k. Fans can say all they want, but sales wise, Gaga is lukewarm. We need to acknowledge the fact that pure sales are almost dead. 136k pure sales is pretty good to be honest. Many people here just overestimated the sales and I already know there would be disappointments. We can't expect Gaga to do numbers like Billie and Sabrina who are more relative to the new generation. Taylor also have a dedicated overwhelmingly high teenage girl fanbase who can make their parents buy albums for them. When we consider streaming, this is definitely her peak, so there's nothing to complain. If Chromatica didn't have tour bundles it would've sold in a similar range. However unlike Chromatica which dropped off to 68k in sales in the second week, I believe that Mayhem will have more longevity in charts and streams. It's already showing signs of stability.

Yup, I said it on the Charts thread way before the numbers were announced that I was expecting around 200k and there were people saying they knew she would do 400k and I was like but I'm not mad at these numbers tbh. I'm actually enjoying the album and I love all the variants she's given, especially the Japan one.
