Ladle Ghoulash 19,382
Was thinking about how, at 16 track, the deluxe version of MAYHEM fits perfectly into the vinyl format and that subdividing everything into different sections helps emphasize flow and cohesion in the track listing. MAYHEM LP1: SIDE A- I. DISEASE II. ABRACADABRA III. GARDEN OF EDEN IV. PERFECT CELEBRITY SIDE B- V. CAN’T STOP THE HIGH VI. VANISH INTO YOU VII. KILLAH VIII. ZOMBIEBOY LP2: SIDE C- IX. LOVEDRUG X. HOW BAD DO U WANT ME XI. DON’T CALL TONIGHT XII. KILL FOR LOVE SIDE D- XIII. SHADOW OF A MAN XIV. THE BEAST XV. BLADE OF GRASS XVI. Red 97,479
Genuine question: do people actually listen to vinyls and not use them just are decorative items? Having to flip the disc, then changing the disc then flipping the disc again to listen to Mayhem in full sounds exhausting. If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

I understand collecting physical media, but I don't 'get' vinyl for actual audio.

I have never heard the sound from a vinyl player before, I always thought it was low quality. I will find a friend with one to check it out If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Used to have a huge collection, but found that, long term, it wasn’t really worth it for me because it wasn’t a primary way that I listened to music. But I think the idea that the tracklisting may have been tailored with the vinyl experience in mind is interesting and gives it a kind of classic feel We have forgotten our public MANNERS

That’s why I had to go out and find lossless rips of both songs and put them into the music app on my phone. IMO the album isn’t complete w/o them We have forgotten our public MANNERS

The sound quality is fantastic, especially with the right deck and speakers. But of course by buying the good quality equipment on top of the £40 cost for (new) vinyls, that’s a lot more money than a Spotify or Apple Music subscription, so I respect why people don’t bother. It’s certainly not a cheap way to consume music or a cheap thing to want to collect.
Controversiaga 10,179
Cute but what about us CD collectors???????? I prefer CDs ! They are smaller and they’re nostalgic for me as I was born in mid 90s . where is our deluxe CD with both of the bonus tracks??? Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I feel it's like a vibes thing with record players, they have a warm sound and you can create a mood with that. I've never played a single CD I bought
