Rihanna cancels her live music return just days before it was due to be announced

I do actually think she will eventually release an album, but it would actually be hilarious if she just continued to say that her next album is coming for the rest of her career

I think she holds herself to a much higher standard than her audience does . I feel like her fans would be fine with anything, she's never really been considered a super talented person, that pushes the boundaries, etc. 

But she seems to be concerned with coming out with something legitimately exciting and cool. I respect her for that, hopefully it works out for her. 

I think she will break records with her comeback regardless anyways, even if the song is awful . Personally I would like something like "We Found Love", but I feel like she wants a new sound.

If we can't trust Rihanna's claims that she's been working on her album all these years, I find it difficult to believe any rumours. If true, she'll have cost her label a lot of money for a cancellation fee. She couldn't sell out 6 UK stadium gigs with her Anti album (2 of the 6 ended up cancelled) with the London one in particular half empty. And that was 9 years ago. How does she expect to sell out 6 stadiums all this time later when she hasn't had any hits in that time or even put out any new albums? I still think she will put out an album eventually but I also think the entire thing will be an absolute s**tshow of a roll-out and this might just be the beginning.

Scenario:

The "insider" who put the story out was lying & to keep credibility, has created a 2nd lie that Rihanna has cancelled the dates when the reality is there were never any shows booked.

 

Why? Rihanna is unlikely to relaunch via her weakest asset: performing live. Her relaunch will likely come with some huge commercial dance track which requires very little effort by her own hand.

Let's remember Rihanna has a whole brand in the entertainment industry that is based on doing the bare minimum.

Genuinely didn’t think Rihanna would ever care to come back to music. She’s such a mogul and I don’t think she’s someone who *needs* to write music to maintain homeostasis like Gaga. If she comes back it would surely just be for business reasons but it’s like…That Fenty money is good girl, you don’t have to!

I have actively hit play on 1 Rihanna song in the last 6 months to a year. But I listen to music every single day, and Rihanna autoplays every single time I finish my queued music. It's an insanely weak metric.
