This leads many to wonder why Singapore is the only stop in Asia, as Live Nation confirmed earlier today. Ive read a separate article also saying that the SG government did not give grants/incentives to Lady Gaga. However, it's entirely possible that the organizer offered something else to Gaga's team, possibly preferential terms in profits. It also makes economic sense for the tour to reduce overhead without sacrificing a lot of income. Taylor Swift proved that concept to be profitable, at the expense of fans who can't afford to fund an international trip to visit a tour. I'm more interested in how GOOD the offer must've been for Gaga to skip nearby destinations that can potentially drive great turnout like Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, or Hong Kong. If not economic, it must've been a scheduling issue and Gaga could really only spare a week for an Asian leg.
StrawberryBlond 14,442
Do we know this for sure? I just want to know what the deal is with all these show announcements. Are they stand-alone or part of a tour? I want her to do a proper world tour with this album, so if she does all of these shows on their own along with Brazil and Mexico and makes the official tour dates just US and Europe based, it'll make less money overall and look less impressive. Girl deserves a show profitable enough to out-earn TMB after all these years and a stadium world tour is her chance. I don't want it all to be broken down so it looks like she's doing less dates than she actually is.
