She was not well at the time, she needed someone who isn't a "yes man". There's a reason Mayhem is better. Michael truly made her see the light, what BloodPop failed to do. Justice for Free Woman Demo.

ngl this comment kinda irrks me in the biggest way

This kind of thread is really disrespectful to Gaga. Can we just leave it and move on?

She even said she’s proud of Chromatica, and many occasions thanked Bloodpop.

Sis... this sounds like a conservatorship and it's not it.

You're allowed to not like Bloodpop, but these kind of statements are so disrespectful to everyone involved.

This thread is downright ignorant. Some of you need to learn how Chromatica came about. Gaga talked about her relationship with bloodpop a lot during CBT before Fun Tonight.

I really liked BloodPop’s production on Chromatica. I genuinely never had a problem with it (granted, I had already liked some of his previous releases - he made the song Go with Grimes as Blood Diamonds and at the time of it’s release, it was a favorite song of mine) and just accepted the project for what it was. Connected with it deeply.

Some of the demos I do like, and Free Woman demo is out of this world on it’s own, but I am really happy with the finished product of Chromatica. I can understand the disapproval from fans, but I am in the minority on these views.

I have always thought it was an excellent album and is in my holy trinity of Gaga albums overall

No offense but what a DUMB thread. People like to talk sh!t as if they were in the studio and know what happened. There would be no Chromatica at all without Bloodpop.

there's no way people actually think the ROM demo is better than the final version, and Babylon without the saxophone is just WRONG:rip:

I find it so crazy all these demos leaked but we still don’t have all of them. Like this album has to be her least desirable for outtakes just give us the Alice demo. Imagine another verse for Alice

As much as I think that Chromatica largely has stale, pink chicken unseasoned production with songs that have no chorus except for tragic unemployed DJ beat drops, Gaga is ultimately responsible for the quality of the album-- including the work of her producers. She approved all if it at the end of the day.

Let's remove from our Spotify and celebrate how great Mayhem is.

I’m sorry if I hit some nerves with the truth. Let me put it in another way: BloodPop did not have Gaga’s best interests at heart or didn’t know her best interests or chose what was best to get a hit. Azealia said herself with Mayhem she said what she wanted to say and not what people wished she would say. That’s the lack in Chromatica, it was trying to be this “pop comeback”.

Now Michael had Gaga’s interests at heart and even convinced her to not let the album be linear but diverse.

Put me on the cross like Jesus, I’m so ready to die in this hill.

Judas is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin.

It's actually wild people are defending choruses like:

"I-I'll be your Enigma." End of chorus, beat drop.

"Replay re-re-play eh eh." End of chorus, beat drop.

"I want your stupid love, love." End of chorus, beat drop.

"I'm a free woman, free." End of chorus, beat drop.

"Rain. On. Me" End of chorus, beat drop.

"Heard a sign." End of chorus, beat drop.

I don't even think it's a "bad" album per se, but definitely some of Gaga's and Bloodpop's weakest work.
