Thriller of a Man (WIP)

So i'm working on making Shadow of a Man an MJ and Gaga collab version

i had to pitch down gaga and pitch up michael surprisingly, it's a tougher fit then i thought it was gonna be  

for some reason i've realised thriller's acapella just will NOT fit exactly in key. I'm going to melodyne the acapella to snap in the notes that aren't working (the end of slam, the end of run, the end of sun)

So this is a work in progress preview 

does it sound like it's worth trying to finish or am i just being a mess

They have a different chord progression. Shadow of a Man kinda walks its pitch down as the verse goes on but Thriller's pitch steps down and then back up with every line so they're not gonna line up well without a good bit of work on the pitch.

I also totally appreciate trying to work in an existing song rather than having an AI transform Gaga's voice into Michael's

I don't believe the clean acapella is out but I think Threatened might work well over Shadow of a Man too! Both thematically and it might be easier to tune

it's so annoying because the chorus fits perfectly, but just the verses have that one end note of every sentence that doesn't work  i couldn't even use auto-tune to change it because it's technically in the same key when they're both pitched to fit

That's why I haven't even considered trying, I'm far too lazy  

That Threatened idea is speaking to me though  the Rod Serling rap specifically, I kinda wanna do something with it.
