Ladle Ghoulash 19,785
So now that Miss Mayhem is finally here, what do you think/hope a setlist for the tour or festival dates might look like? This is my first stab at it (might be a bit too long, but could probably do it with slightly shorter versions of some songs): ACT ONE (Theme/Aesthetic: Witch Doctor from Disease): Opens with Gaga dressed in the full witch doctor Mayhem look, motif is dark and sadistic with her as the master of a hellish landscape, choreo centers around the use of the cane from Disease. I. INTRO + SCHEISSE II. POKER FACE III. LOVEGAME IV. DISEASE Brief mid-act transition where Gaga strips layers from the witch doctor look to reveal the dark haired black clad look from the Disease vid, militant gothic dominatrix vibes. V. HEAVY METAL LOVER + DANCE IN THE DARK + AURA VI. REPLAY VIII. PERFECT CELEBRITY ACT TWO (Theme/aesthetic: Mistress Mayhem from Abracadabra): Opens with Gaga in a modified (more danceable) version of the stitched up structured red cloak from Abracadabra, which gets fully split during Monster to reveal a spiked full body catsuit with latex and metallic spikes and structured shoulders. IX. MONSTER X. GARDEN OF EDEN XI. MANICURE X. KILLAH Mid-act transition: add a red and gold studded leather jacket, a Prince/Madonna style 80s/90s visored cap and a pair of red and gold wide sunglasses. XI. ALEJANDRO XII. ZOMBIEBOY XIII. BLOODY MARY XIV. PERFECT ILLUSION ACT THREE (Theme/aesthetic: a variation of the white/“pure” Gaga from Abracadabra): Opens with Gaga backlit, fog billowing, her silhouette looming large. HM begins standing with handheld mic, arrives at piano for Shallow. XV. HAPPY MISTAKE XVI. SHALLOW XVII. ALWAYS REMEMBER US THIS WAY XVIII. DIE WITH A SMILE (SOLO) XIX. VANISH INTO YOU Mid-act transition, next section is full choreo with dancers. Maybe for BR Gaga gets the lace train from Abracadabra attached to her bodysuit, along with a lacy Eyes Wide Shut style mask XX. THE EDGE OF GLORY XXII. BAD ROMANCE XXIII. BORN THIS WAY ENCORE (Theme/aesthetic: Glam MAYHEM) Not entirely sure, but thinking something like a combination of rococo style brocaded outfits with gold accents and some gothic undertones. Victory lap/celebratory vibes. XXIV. BABYLON XXV. ABRACADABRA XXVI. JUST DANCE (W/ KEYTAR) XXVII. SHADOW OF A MAN Edited March 18 by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS 1
banjosnap 174
So you'd start with a non-mayhem track, finish with a non-mayhem track & only actually have 8 out of a potential 17 tracks from the album on that album's tour? Where's the inspiration for this? Actually, she did it with chromatica, but HMH wasn't on any other tour. Mine would be pretty simple...ish. vibes like TMB 1.0 But bigger & obviously on a bigger budget. Very.. witch-in-the-woods & nosferatu/Frankenstein aesthetic to the whole thing. My main NEED from this tour is for gags to lean into visual EFFECTS. She could have SUCH an epic tour by embracing some dance music's shows aesthetics. Extreme laser effects at parts, video screens that "zoom" to make it appear that gaga and the whole stadium are in motion, even when they're not. Although, if mayhem is a combination of all her prior inspiration, would the tour be that, too? DITD MTB visual, BTWB huge set, AP transparent catwalk & lasers, Joanne moving drawbridges, Chromatica.. uh.. OK she didn't pop off with that tour creatively but you see my point. Sorry, I'm rambling

Sorry, I'm rambling I mean, she almost never performs the full album live lmao. “Where’s the inspiration for this?” Well, I literally wrote descriptions for each section, so that might not be a bad place to start . But basically, I wanted it to celebrate the themes, message, and aesthetic of the album while also serving as a career retrospective. Taumaturg0 274
Really cool concept, love how you tied the acts visually. Here’s mine: Act I: Genesis / Fall - Garden of Eden - Just Dance (shortened) - Poker Face - BTW Mid act transition to the “fall” - Paparazzi /Telephone - Replay - Perfect Celebrity Act II: Urban Gothic Intro: contains elements from Retro Dance Freak - Killah - Kill for Love/Can't stop the high - Shadow of a Man - Free Woman (short) Visual interlude. - Government Hooker/Bloody Mary - Monster/ZombieBoy - Alejandro/Don’t call tonight Act III: LOVE - Happy Mistake - Blade of Grass - DWS (solo) - Vanish Into You (starts acoustic, transitions to studio) - LoveDrug Act IV: MAYHEM - Scheiße/Swine - Aura - Disease Act V: Encore - The Edge of Glory - Bad Romance - Abracadabra For the visual aspect: an evolution of the brutalist concept from the CBT, with added gothic elements, think huge parabolic arches in the main stage, like a brutalist cathedral of sorts. The staging in itself should be simple. Maping and lighting can help match the vibe of each act. Fashion: a mesh of the promo looks with 70s and 80s glam rock/punk inspirations and a touch of latex. bees and honeyy 542
My setlist is 28 songs, which I know is long for Gaga. A fair few songs are shortened, and a lot are modified with additional samples/elements. It would be about 2 hours long ‘Mayhem’ (video introduction; contains elements of ‘Zombieboy’, ‘Disease’, ‘Perfect Celebrity’, and ‘Can’t Stop the High’) ‘Abracadabra’ ‘Judas’ (shortened; extended outro; contains elements of ‘Aura’, and ‘Chromatica II’) ‘911’ ‘911’ (segue; contains elements of the A.G. Cook remix, ‘Partynauseous’, and ‘So Happy I Could Die’) ‘Perfect Celebrity’ (extended intro) ‘Bloody Mary’ (shortened; contains elements of ‘Disease’) ‘The Beast’ ‘Poker Face’ (shortened; contains elements of ‘Alice’) ‘Telephone’ (segue; contains elements of the Alphabeat remix, ‘Stupid Love’, and ‘G.U.Y.’) ‘Killah’ (extended outro; contains elements of ‘Fame’ by David Bowie) ‘Born This Way’ (contains elements of the Haus Labs remix of ‘Babylon’) ‘Zombieboy’ ‘Dance in the Dark’ ‘Government Hooker’ (shortened; contains elements of ‘Sour Candy’, and ‘Replay’) ‘Alejandro’ (segue) ‘Don’t Call Tonight’ (contains elements of The Sound of Arrows remix of ‘Alejandro’) ‘Perfect Illusion’ ‘LoveDrug’ (extended outro; contains elements of ‘LoveGame’) ‘LoveGame’ (segue; contains elements of the Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix remix, and ‘John Wayne’) ‘Kill for Love’ (video interlude) ‘Rain on Me’ (shortened) ‘Applause’ (shortened; extended outro; contains elements of ‘ARTPOP’) ‘Shadow of a Man’ ‘Just Dance’ (extended intro; shortened) ‘The Edge of Glory’ (segue) ‘Shallow’ (shortened; Gaga on piano) ‘Blade of Grass’ (Gaga on piano) ‘Die With a Smile’ (Gaga on piano) ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’ (extended intro; contains elements of ‘The Cure’, and ‘Only You’ by Yazoo) ‘Vanish Into You’ ‘Out of Control’ (video interlude) ‘Venus’ (shortened; contains elements of the Gesaffelstein remix of ‘Rocket Number 9’ by Zombie Zombie) ‘Garden of Eden’ (extended intro; contains elements of ‘Starstruck’, and ‘Private Audition’) ‘Bad Romance’ (extended intro; contains elements of ‘Fugue no. 24 in B minor’ by Bach) ‘Disease’ The ‘segues’ would be short interludes, of 1-2 min length to allow for outfit/set changes, and there would be visuals throughout beyond the actual video interludes. The ‘Out of Control’ interlude is just a bit of fun, and would maybe include just a few lines from the song as a tease with some kind of new instrumental or something - hardly a song release or anything. The album stats for my setlist are: 14 from ‘Mayhem’ 2 from ‘Chromatica’ 1 from ‘A Star is Born’ 1 from ‘Joanne’ 2 from ‘ARTPOP’ 4 from ‘Born This Way’ 2 from ‘The Fame Monster’ 2 from ‘The Fame’ But many more songs from across the different albums are incorporated in interludes and samples Edited March 8 by bees and honeyy

PartySick 153,872
Lemme get back to this thread soon Imma need the whole album performed though and for older songs to be reworked in the Mayhem style. I love a classic but imagine the dark/disco/rock version of Just Dance, Bad Romance, Applause, maybe even Perfect Illusion (which kinda already fits hihi) 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Can absolutely hear JD + BR with big fat SOAM style bass lines, groovy synths, and huge electric guitar riffs (same for PI, but maybe throw in some spooky Zombieboy style 80s psych synths ) Edited March 8 by Ladle Ghoulash We have forgotten our public MANNERS
2School4Cool 6,397
Gonna go work on this, I’ll come back and edit my comment when I’m done — Okay here we go, this was super hard and I limited myself more than I wanted to (would love some ARTPOP) but this seems somewhat realistic Act I 1. Kieran03 0
This is my first idea for a ‘realistic’ MAYHEM Ball setlist. Realistic being it’s basically MAYHEM and singles. Act 1 Bloody Mary Disease Killah Replay Act 2 Applause/ paparazzi/ Just Dance Garden of Eden Lovedrug ZombieBoy/ Disco Heaven/ Summerboy Act 3 Vanish Into You Yoü and I Happy Mistake Blade of Grass Born This Way Act 4 Perfect Celebrity Judas (Rock Version) Alejandro (Rock Version) Act 5 How Bad Do U Want Me/Only You Bad Romance Act 6 Shadow of Man/ Dance in the Dark Poker Face Abracadabra Encore Die With A Smile its 22 songs but there’s a few mashups in there. I think it’s realistic for Gaga to cut 2 songs from MAYHEM (I hope she doesn’t tho). Disco heaven, Summerboy and Dance in the Dark are a bit rogue but I think they would fit sonically well in a mashup with the songs from MAYHEM and she’s never performed DH and Summerboy on a tour.
