Vimo 1,351 Posted March 8, 2025 Share Posted March 8, 2025 In my opinion (an opinion I have at 9 am that might not survive the rest of the day) artists should release what didn't make the cut just for the fans to enjoy. The album is the artist edit, and then the rest is up for the fans and the public to enjoy and maybe connect with. I'd love to see the contrast between how the artist sees it's work, and how the public reacts to the same body of work. The songs were made, why let them rot? Imagine: "Mayhem: the leftovers" songs that didn't survive my vision but could make it into your lives. And then an unexpected fan favorite rises organically.
