Morphine Prince 105,015
I would say Disease, Abra, GoE, Perfect Celebrity, Zombieboy, Shadow of a Man encapsulate more of what I WANTED. I knew she said we’d be surprised by some of the tracks. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good surprise for some of us. So, yeah, Mayhem is going to be an EP for me. With a few other songs making it into my rotation. 1 3

Emvee 8,236
I know the strict pop fans don’t like Perfect Celebrity… but that’s too bad. A whole album of it would have perfect to me as a NIN fan. Disease kinda fit that bill too, but the rest is a bit of a mish mash.

Just shows what I know! To me.... Stupid love and Rain in me are so different from the rest of the albun.....stupid love fits in most. Rain on me, while brilliant, is the DWAS of the album.

Rain on me, while brilliant, is the DWAS of the album. rain on me fits like a glove, and fits the vibe of Chromatica well which is 90s/early 00s Dance and set the tone really well. And ofc we have Chromatica which is split into 3 parts, and Stupid Love flows right into Rain On Me on the album you cant say Abracadabra sounds like Killah just for example cause they are vastly different from eachother. Kinda like how Perfect Illusion mislead fans into thinking Joanne was gonna be a pop/rock album.
holy scheisse 22,170
I think it would be a boring album if every song was that abracadabra banger style of a song. Both disease and abracadabra have elements echoed in other tracks on the album so I don’t understand ppl who are saying it was “false advertisement”. If you rly wanna talk about that… let’s revisit perfect illusion/joanne lol 3

There's so many genres and sounds in Joanne. Diamond Heart, Dancin in CIrcles, Sinners Prayer, Come to Mama and Angel Down sound nothing alike
Tommy Monster 846
What I was personally dissapointed about were the lack of first listen jaw-droppers like Scheisse, GH, Judas, Bloody Mary, Aura, Swine, ARTPOP, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Telephone... something that feels iconic on your first listen and you know this is gonna be your song for years to come... While Disease and Abra were like that, the only other instant favorites I had were Vanish Into You, Garden of Eden, and after a couple more replays Zombieboy... It never happened to me before that half the songs on a Gaga album would feel forgettable on my first listen... not to mention that tracks 8-10 were like this back to back... I'm not vibing with Perfect Celebrity, I hated Killah on my first listen and it's mostly a skip for me, then it's the forgettable trinity, Shadow is nice, but nothing special, the ballads are okay... I know that she cannot please everyone, but the expectations were so high... and while it's not a bad album at any case, I'm slowly starting to feel the disappointment now that I listened to the album the whole day and it's still just okayish songs with a couple of bangers sprinkled in here and there Oh wow, I really let my words and feelings run wild on this one But I'm happy for everyone who loves the album... and I do enjoy it, but it's just not special for me like Gaga's albums used to be

SevenWonder 4,282
I don't need more Abra songs because I already have Abra. Each song is there for a reason and I love just about every song. The only thing I'd change is to swap Happy Mistake in for Blade of Grass. But that's just me being totally nitpicking. The album is near perfect for me.

This is my problem with some pop artists like Ava max for example lol. Every song is a « banger » to the point that it just all sounds the same and like there’s no range… How can we appreciate Abra for the banger she is if every track is aiming for that same vibe? Thats just my perspective though. I still think there are tons of anthemic dance bops like garden of Eden and love drug and shadow. I genuinely am vibing to songs with different moods and sounds like Killah and the beast and appreciate the texture ™️ they give the album Edited March 7 by holy scheisse 3
Lava 3,379
I'm happy with what we got. It's absolutely brilliant. (But I'm ngl her just dropping that she was going to put Frankenstein on the album but didnt is really making me want it.) 3
