HausOfAntonio 8,021
I WANTED something more in the vein of Abra/Disease but I KNEW that wasn’t what she had in store because she literally said it many many times. I just didn’t know what exactly to expect.
Red 97,929
I really don’t understand why people are saying Abra (and Disease) don’t sound like the rest of the album If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. 3
REALITY 75,982
21 minutes ago, Controversiaga said: Disease feels extremely indicative of mayhems over all sound - Abra feels like an outlier so understand disease being the lead Abra Being the second feels like clickbate lol in the kindest way possible That's interesting because I think Abra fits in more with the album than Disease I think Disease and Perfect Celebrity go well together, but they're the most industrial-sounding songs on the album. Killah is kinda in that same group too since it's Gesaffelstein, but it's also a lot funkier and pairs well with other songs. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
elijahfan 25,921
Totally. First listen was a bit of a reality check, but now I'm really enjoying it. 2 1

ARTPOP sounds a lot like applause & GUY, chromatica sounds a lot like stupid love & rain on me. so why is it crazy to expect mayhem to also sound like one if its singles? I get our point. And it makes sense. But please just admit you are disappointed with MAYEM? I, don't understand the viewpoint of.... 'I love x, but I wish it is was Y, but I like the songs that sound like z' Also could you please point to song that conform to this view: ' chromatica sounds a lot like stupid love & rain on me'
Glomer 654
If you're familiar with Gesaffelstein work, you might have an idea of what I was expecting (way harder sounds than Disease or Abra)... I'm not in any way disappointed with the masterpiece that we got, though. While she always push boundaries, it's past the time to understand that Gaga will never go "experimental" or stray too far from more commercial sounds, and that's ok.

Yeah i don’t think she utilised him as a producer to his full potential…
Kayi 2,624
I think that Abra is tied with tracks like ZombieBoy that features disco influences I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/

Disease is a strong opener that sets the stage for something different and Abra has the europop vibes that song like Zombieboy and vanish into you have. Idk, i'm not an expert but that's how I feel. The melody that you choose can rescue you 1

Half of The Fame sounds nothing like those two songs tho? Born This Way and ARTPOP are mixed bags and not as cohesive as you think they are. I love Abra and it’s my favorite song. I want more songs like it. i also am pleasantly surprised with the musical direction of mayhem- even though it’s not what I expected. Same exact goes for btw and AP. but Abra really is in its own league when it comes to the rest of mayhem. Nothing else is electronic euro 90s dance club infused. and I know brown eyes doesn’t sound like TF and teeth doesn’t sound like TFM and dope doesn’t sound like AP- but none of those tracks were singles Pronounced like “Balenciaga” .
