Nessun Dorma 3,606
I agree 100%! I thought about this connection when I first saw the art cover for Mayhem, the broken mirrors concept makes it impossible not to think about Happy Mistake! And now knowing the sound of Mayhem, I think that HM would fit perfectly in the second half of the album!

I wouldn't have minded it being carried over to Mayhem but I love it just the way it is now 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Plus I'm pretty sure the "HM was from the Chromatica sessions" came from one of those people that know stuff like that, I just don't remember who Either way, it absolutely fit's regardless, which is why it's on my Mayhem playlist (and DWAS isn't ) 🧡The blindfold's off my eyes, all I see for me is better days🧡

Would be a great introduction for Mayhem. But based on the tracklist she chose, sonically speaking, I think HM fits better at the end of the album. I’m actually playing it after Blade of Grass.
ActualPatient 1,423
This was in my head for some time! I'm glad i'm not alone. I definitely agree that Happy Mistakes could've been a key piece in the Mayhem concept. As some folks up have already mentioned, 'broken mirrors' "I could try to hide behind the makeup, but the show must go on" -is about celebrity & fame The entire chorus is just MAYHEM all over it: My head is filled with broken mirrors So many, I can't look away I'm in a bad way If I could fix the broken pieces Then I'd have a happy mistake In some ways I wish she'd just kept HM in Mayhem. I feel that the potential is wasted... although along with Joker, it gave Harlequin strong legs.
ActualPatient 1,423
Petition to add Happy Mistake to a special/deluxe version please. It just slots right in.

Gaga is not known for soft openers in her albums but I can totally see Happy Mistake opening the album. I'll create a playlist with this one on either end lol
