I’m so happy for her bc she seems so happy with the record and she’s been so upbeat in all her interviews, especially talking about loving her fans, so it’s nice to see her getting this kind of praise. As for me, it might be too early to say and I might be influenced by all the emotional charge these songs caused me (I literally cried listening to a lot of them), but I think it's my favorite album from her discography! I loved it from start to finish, no skips. The musicality blew me away, all the times I listened to Mayhem I discovered a new layer I hadn't noticed before. She outdid herself beautifully. StrawberryBlond 14,580 Posted March 8 Share Posted March 8 Reading these positive reviews like I saw three 4-star reviews last night so I knew it would debut well but to come on to see that it had a full 10 reviews up with an 85, amazing. Consequence with a B+ just replaced that awful 2-star review from Financial Times (seriously, who s**t in their cereal? ) and now we just need perhaps MusicOMH's 4.5/5 review to replace Slant's impossibly modest 3-star and that Wikipedia page will look mighty fine. Don't know why Any Decent Music are woefully behind with the memo but maybe it will even out. Holding out hope for Pitchfork and The Needle Drop. Then what else? Paste? Complex? Billboard? The Gay Times? I'm sure they'll enjoy it. As long as there's not multiple average/bad reviews from here on out, even if her score drops, she's got to stay within the 80 range easily.
