iAstroLeo 14,389
So much text and thinking about the subject that they still don’t get it right “which means skipping The Fame Monster, Cheek to Cheek, Love for Sale, and Dawn as “official albums” The Fame Monster is LG2 honey
HelloBarbara 1,516
Why are we always having this convo? It feels pretty self explanatory to me. LG1 - The Fame LG2 - The Fame Monster LG3 - Born This Way LG4 - ARTPOP LG5 - Joanne LG6 - Chromatica (LG6.5 - Harlequin *more of a side project imo*) LG7 - Mayhem Cheek to Cheek and Love For Sale are side projects with Tony. A Star is Born and Joker: Folie à Deux are soundtracks. The Remix, Born This Way: The Remix and Dawn of Chromatica are remix albums. elegidadedios 1,912
We all know The Fame Monster was labelled as an EP in order to satisfy marketing purposes (The Fame started to be sold as a reedition = more copies sold WW), but quite frankly, it could perfectly stand as a LP because of the duration (in that day and mostly attending to today's standards). Even Interscope years after officially named Chromatica as LG6 and MAYHEM as LG7 as part of the promo campaigns, so what's the point?
AsleepOnTheCeiling 6,165
How does the man cover celebrity gossip when he can't even correctly state that LG7 promo kicked off with TCBD? Or the fact that her leaked documents covered every reason for the numbering scheme? This is all really just a long winded way of saying that he doesn't count The Fame Monster as an album. Even though it is counted as one by her label, which is who numbers the albums in the first place.

The Fame Monster was considered an EP even by her label, and did not count towards her albums. So TFM was NOT meant to be LG2. However, Gaga and her management were able to negotiate an addendum to her contract, that stated that TFM WOULD be counted as LG2 if she could get x amount of sales in y amount of time (I assume this was to allow a quick turn around for projects from her and keep her in the spotlight and also force her to promote it (a reissue itself did not require her to promote the music, only official LGx releases)). And she did hit that sales goal in the allotted time frame, so TFM was henceforth LG2 in label eyes. Then Gaga and Interscope at some point started publicizing the album count as the working title of her projects. That's how we're here at LG7.

I didn't know about that addendum tho, that's interesting thanks for letting me know that detail Edited March 7 by elegidadedios
