She said it’s in another vault—so basically, in the trash. Can we finally move on from this? Who really thinks the material she didn’t use is actually any good? If it wasn’t included in ARTPOP, there was probably a good reason for it.

It’s the same as when she created 50 songs for Mayhem, but only 15 made the cut. Those were the best and most fitting for the album.

However, she have been more open about ARTPOP and also got questions on it recently so I really think that even if it’s not those songs the sound will comeback, although in a more mature way. 
 

Mayhem may be her Bedtimestories album and that then will flow into her ray of light album, LG8.

   The problem wasn’t that they weren’t good. “Brooklyn Nights” and “Mary Jane Holland” were competing for the same spot on the album. “PARTYNAUSEOUS” only saw release in the form of artRAVE due to problems with Kendrick’s team. Other songs were planned to release through the app. Troy was heavily tied to the app. The real reason we would struggle to see Act II is due to the legal hoops that would have to be jumped through. Songs have been released, production reused for other artists. “Hologram” on the Vox Lux soundtrack is “PARTYNAUSEOUS”. Addison Rae got “Nothing on but the Radio”. Some Zedd songs from his second album are heavily rumored to be from Act II songs.

   It’s not a quality issue, it’s almost entirely a legal one based around label politics - and it only gets harder to unravel as time goes on.

Yeah, we all need to let it go and look forward. ARTPOP is an amazing album without extras that Gaga clearly doesn't want to revisit

Hologram (Smoke and Mirrors) was written by Fernando Garibay and Sia. Fernando repurposed the production from his work on Partynauseous to create a new track with Sia. 🥸

Gaga’s recording of Nothing On (But the Radio) leaked in 2010, meaning it wasn’t  made for ARTPOP. The Addison Rae version doesn’t credit Gaga, so she may not have been involved in writing it at all. 🥸

I think more likely is she sold the credit. Bc lbr no one but gaga is writing “I could make you some food” on a pop song

   Hologram came first actually. You can literally hear Sias "ive seen enough" vocal used as an effect. Thats also why the demo has the same structure as Hologram. The artRAVE version built off of that into new production - but all of this is to say. Legally complicated.

   Nothing On we KNOW has an ARTPOP version that was reworked, finished, and ready for the album and we have one of the demos for its ARTPOP version. Once again, a song that is now legally complicated.

   We learned a lot about ARTPOP from the leaked legal documents. Troys firing pretty much put a giant red x on everything made since he was so heavily involved in the legal side of the works.

I am sure it was real, but I truly believe she just had a bunch of extra songs that didn’t make the cut and a lot of good will to make this concept she had.
