I would like it a lot more if the production didn't make Gaga sound just like Taylor. I'm a professional musician and there are many moments where you can't tell whether it's Gaga or Taylor due to the way her voice is processed during production, almost like it was intentionally made that way? It'll be interesting to see if Gaga says it was intentional. Overall, it's not a bad pop song at all -- just weird that Gaga doesn't sound like herself.

Honestly, this is the only Gaga song I can think of where I can't recognize her voice. I presume this will be a strong skip for veteran fans. My theory is that Gaga 'How Bad Do U Want Me' and 'Don't Call Tonight' for her fiancé, Michael. 'Love Drug' to 'Shadow of a Man' flows better sonically, imo.

The song is fine imo. I think it's the weakest on the album, but still decent (and I love the album). I feel like I would have a better opinion of it if the rest of the album wasn't so strong. Like it's a good song imo, but weak compared to Vanish into You, Perfect Celebrity, Garden of Eden, etc.

 

However, it's a reminder that twitter liddos are toxic. I saw Taylor trending, and 80% of it was twitter little monsters dragging Gaga for having a song that sounds like Taylor. Not antis or haters, but actual so-called fans I can't believe they are so negative they started trending.

I guess this is the FOHL of MAYHEM for me: a song that most people don't care for, but I love 

I see why people dislike it, but honestly, it was one of the standouts for me on the first listen. It is very Taylor-coded, but I don't mind it  It also reminds me of Love Me Right

Idk like it’s not a bad song but it’s so Taylor coded that it repels my taste by default. I feel like if it was the exact same song but with Taylor’s voice and instead of Mayhem it was on TTPD the majority of people here would say it’s just another boring, bland Taylor song.

It's my favorite on the album. While 90 percent of the songs on the album sound like Pre-Fame songs (which I loveeeeee) this song stood out as being vastly different sonically with Disease and Abra which I enjoyed. Yeah it has a TS vibe and as a Swiftie that may be why I was so hooked from the moment I heard it but I have to ask people why thats a bad thing?

Taylor and Gaga are probably two of the best singer/songwriters to exist in our generation. You sure you can hate the over commercialization of Taylor but can't deny that she knows how to make a good pop song, and so does Gaga. For me I think it's mostly the dreamy 80's synthy sound the song has (and all of Mayhem has a underline 80's sound) which most of Taylors songs recently have kinda had as well.

By far the worst song on the album, nothing about it sounds good, it doesn't fit at all, no clue how it made the cut while a song like Kill For Love was discarded as a bonus track
