I am not going to include Disease, Abracadabra or Die with a smile here. I am listening to the album as I write this so excuse my short commentary.

Garden of Eden – This track could easily fit right into The Fame. It completely surpassed my expectations, delivering way more than any previous leak or snippet. The "I'll take you to the garden of Eden" part is pure magic. The song is powerful, addictive and just downright amazing.

Perfect Celebrity – This is the track that played during Gaga's tracklist reveal, so it's not The Beast or Killah. It’s also the Nutorious being track. The pre-chorus is mysterious, with eerie piano melodies, before the chorus erupts into a loud, full-force experience. The ending is the part Gaga teased before in paris, and it hits just right. I'm obsessed! Gaga also briefly mentions ''Princess Die''.

Vanish Into You – A sad love song with funky elements, this track features incredible guitar work and a chorus that gives off major Bad Romance piano vibes, reminds me of the "oooh ooooh ooooh ooohh" part of Bad Romance. It also has a bit of the same emotional punch as Earthquake. Honestly, it's insanely good.

Killah – This song is dripping with Prince and David Bowie influences. It’s super funky, with Gaga’s vocals shining through. The way she sings reminds me of her pre-chorus vocals in Applause. The track’s ending is a wild, chaotic ride where she screams, and it almost feels like she’s melting. I love every moment of it. She sings "Killah" with such a cool edge, and by the end, there's even a hint of Marilyn Manson in her voice.

Zombieboy – This track is a total blast from the past, blending 70s and 80s vibes with synths, disco energy, and funky guitars. It feels like it belongs at a zombie-themed high school dance. I’m still blown away by how much better it sounds compared to the Disease music video snippet. It’s giving The Fame era realness and it might just be my favorite so far! The ELECTRIC GUITAR AT THE END OMG. Just so amazing, its very halloweeny. I could see this play on Wednesday.

LoveDrug – This track feels like a perfect blend of ARTPOP and Joanne. Its the enigma of this album. Gaga’s vocals carry a serious tone, reminiscent of Till It Happens To You. There’s something about her delivery that’s both powerful and haunting. I am noticing a pattern where every song has ended with a cool long outro with a lot of electric guitars.

How Bad Do U Want Me - this is an adorable love song with major Taylor Swift vibes, reminiscent of tracks from 1989 or Lover, a song Swifties would absolutely eat this up. It also has that sweet, upbeat vocal charm similar to Love Me Right from Chromatica. This song feels like the kind of heartfelt tune you'd serenade to your partner, and it's truly a standout. The bridge features some of her darker, spoken-word vocals, adding a unique twist. It really gives off Gypsy energy from start to finish. Absolutely living for this one.

-Don't Call Tonight -This brings another dose of heavy, funky bass, kicking off with an intro that feels straight out of a The Weeknd track. You can really sense how the sounds of the second half of this album shifts into a more hopeful and uplifting vibe, which is such a refreshing change. This track perfectly embodies that “crying on the dancefloor” energy and I just can’t get enough of it. The bridge features Daft Punk inspired vocals, adding a cool, retro-futuristic touch. It’s the kind of song you’d blast after a breakup, definitely the Brooklyn Nights of the album.

Shadow of a man - The one we all have been waiting for. Let me tell you THIS EATS HARDER THAN ANY AI REMAKE! THIS IS A PERSONAL FAVORITE THUS FAR! The chorus is not what I expected, its even better than I imagined it would be! Wooww woow wooooww. Her delivery is very very 80s! This is such a dancefloor banger! I can see this being played in every club and the radio. This is a very The fame Monster-esque song. I think most Little Monsters will love this. 10/10!!

The Beast - This is the groovy slow song of the album. This song also reminds me of The Fame Monster. It reminds me a lot of the Bleeding Love chorus by Leona Lewis during the pre-chorus of this song. This song has some samba vibes to it as well, but it fits the song so very well. It sounds like she is singing to a werewolf as she explained in her interview. The bridge is a whole ass electric guitar solo adding so much emotion to the song. This is going to be added in my sad girl music. You could also have s*x to thing song I feel like. Its so groovy.

Blade Of Grass - This sounds so much like a late 00's ballad. The chorus is absolutely beautiful and emotional. This could literally be played at a wedding or a funeral. There is a key change at the end of the song and could be a Joanne song but its basically much better than most songs on that album. It reminds me of a specific song but I cant put my finger on it.

Die With a Smile - I know I said wouldnt mention it but...this song actually fits as an ending to the album. It doesnt feel out of place.

In conclusion: THIS IS HER BEST ALBUM SINCE ARTPOP! This truly a masterpiece, I think this album will be most people's top 3 gaga album dare I say. This album exceeds my expectations! I cant wait for you to hear it! What a freaking journey. You can also hear her howl like a werewolf in the end. Her vocals on this project is some of her best!

Poltergeist

Lemme post my thoughts from the official discussion, as noone would notice them there anyway :ladyhaha:

I'm not as amazed as I thought I'd be, BUT I'M STILL AMAZED

Garden Of Eden - Not as much Fame-like as I was expecting it to be from snippets, I like it way more than I thought I would, chorus slaps, 8.5/10

Perfect Celebrity - verses are more interesting than the chorus is, but still a solid 7/10 (there's a reference to an ARTPOP unreleased song )

Vanish Into You - sounds like something radio would swallow up easily, very pleasant, 8/10

Killah - completely different from my expectations, probably my least favorite at the moment, a bit too monotonous, 4/10

Zombieboy - funk incarnateeeeeed! The one I was waiting for the most, I feel blessed to finally hear the chorus in HQ, the rest of the song is really interesting as well, my favorite from the new ones, 9.5/10

Lovedrug - judging by the titles I thought it'd be my least favorite. Verses sound like a pop classic, super fun chorus! 8.5/10

How Bad Do You Want Me - quite boring, not really memorable, 4/10

Don't Call Tonight - not bad, not my favorite, but I think it may grow on me, was a 6.5/10 but after the bridge (which sounds like a Royskopp song) it jumped up to 7/10

Shadow Of A Man - another super funky one, I don't love it as much as I thought I would, but it's still amazing, 8.5/10

The Beast - really interesting power ballad, versers remind me of Bleeding Love, 8/10

Blade Of Grass - beautiful lyrics, but it's quite flat, Gaga has many more engaging ballads, 3/10

I'm sure that notes will only grow, I can't wait to hear the 2 bonus tracks :sara:

I've been getting messages from my deep waters

my review after first listen:

5 Stars:

1.Abracadabruuuh (its just that song)

4 Stars:

2.Disease (i love that it hits harder in the end)

3.Zombieboy  (catchy Chorus)

4.Lovedrug (also strong catchy chorus)

5.Die with a smile (her vocals are amazing, the harmonies between mars and gags)

3 Stars:

6.Perfect Celebrity (Rocky, dark,)

7.Shadow of a Man (very jackson; fast chorus)

8.Vanish into you (the melanchony <3)

9.Garden of Eden (fame vibes to me)

10.Killah (its a vibe, a bowie vibe)

11. Dont call tonight (wanted to place it lower but the bridge is good; also am i the only one that gets a bit from tina turners whats love got to do with it out of that)

2 Stars:

12.How bad do you want me (sry this ones boring)

13.The beast (maybe if im in the vibe, but i wasnt while listening to it first)

1 Star:

14. Blade of Grass (its just not my stuff)

Disclaimer: I had high high expectations and this was just my first listen. I see many songs growing at me already. Sometimes it just takes some time for me. I wasnt even sure if id liked abracadabra that much after first listen but now its my fave song.

Its a good album. I kinda time traveled while listening. Its got old school vibes; very 70/80/90 but with new production. Jackson, Prince, Bowie, Tina Turner, and other older pop stars.

It was diffrent from what I was expecting. I was ready for  hardcore beats/sound. This one is more funky, bit glam rocky. I will now listen to it over and over. Im intrested which one ends up beein my fave. I just enjoy it very much. I think her vocals are great. Havent listen to the deluxe version yet.

Zedd

I had the same vibe of HBDUWM as you. It's giving Taylor Swift. It's giving a phone ringtone at the beginning, and it reminds me of some car ad, like they sampled it.

I hate nothing. I love almost everything. I think I would say Blade of Grass is my least favorite, but it’s not bad, and truly a no skip album for me. My favorites right now are hard to say, I’m sure they will change.
1.Abra

2.Disease

3.Garden of Eden

4.Vanish Into You

5.Perfect Celebrity

so basically the tracklist is almost in order of my personal preference… which I tend to find true of every Gaga album.

There are no skips on the album. The songs are all good, however i didn't expect all these ballads :huntyga: i like them but i probably won't listen to them as much.

Also i kinda expected better from Killah and The Beast but they're ok

My faves: Abra, Disease, Perfect Celebrity, Zombieboy, Shadow of a man

Garden of Eden: I knew no other track on the album would top it for me after the first 30 seconds :billie: 9/10

Perfect Celebrity: Could’ve used a little more depth in the music, but really really enjoyable 7/10

Vanish Into You: For some reason it feels really British to me (as someone who is British LMFAOO) I’m not sure why?? Gives me the same summery vibe as a lot of 2010s British indie/rock music. Could 100% see this being played on the indie/rock floor of my hometown club. 6/10

Killah: My thought process when writing notes was word for word ‘Very Bowie and Prince omg. VERY Prince wtf??’ Hahaha. Really enjoyable but not at all what I was expecting for the collab. 6.5/10

Zombieboy: Immediately thought ‘hollaback girl’ at the intro lol, almost like a reflex. Bridge saves it for me, as well as the outro. 5.5/10

LoveDrug: Feels a teensy bit generic to me. At first, not something I’d ordinarily listen to, but the bridge saved it for me. 5/10

How Bad Do You Want Me: I don’t want you at all girl :billie:  Generic, one-dimensional, flat, juvenile (and not in a good, bright, youthful way). Can only sell it to myself if I view it as her taking the p1ss out of the ‘good girl’ thing she’s talking about. Really sad that I dislike a Gaga song so much tbh. 2/10 if I’m being nice.

Don’t Call Tonight: Funky. Not really for me, though. Bridge saves it once again! Vocals omg. Bridge and what comes after may have saved the song for me. 6/10

Shadow Of A Man: Reminds me of ‘I Want Your Love’ a little when she did it with Chic, not sure why. Lively. Would’ve liked more musical depth though, feels like it needs something heavier to weigh it down idk. AGAIN WITH THE BRIDGE! what is with the bridges on this album??Mama knows how to write the f*ck out of a bridge, Jesus. 6/10

The Beast: Lyrically-heavier in terms of where you want to focus. Sonically, not for me. Vocals though!! Love the guitars. Objectively very good, but not for me. And I’m rating on appeal to me, not how good it is musically, because it is very good in that sense. 5/10

Blade Of Grass: Immediately teared up. I do NOT like music like this, but just last night, my partner and I were talking about he wants to propose soon, and then later I saw the Gaga interview with her talking about the story behind this song. So I may be biased here LMFAOAOAO. Not my kind of thing sonically, but I feel really connected to it because of the timing of everything. Forever’s not enough :bradley: 6.5/10

Imo not her magnum opus like what we were expecting, but I really like it. Top three album spots for me are still ARTPOP, BTW, TFM (in no particular order). But definitely a worthwhile addition to her discography. And GOE will probably become one of my most streamed songs ever so :teehee:
