Is Mayhem gonna be Dolby Atmos?

I am honestly unsure if Mayhem will be released in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music because a lot of unreleased albums already carry the Dolby Atmos tag when they are added to presave and Mayhem doesn’t have it.

Abracadabra still isn’t and we know that Disease wasn’t at first and then it was a week or 2 later.

and then we look at Renaissance by Beyonce which was standard and then released in Dolby MONTHS later. and then there’s Cowboy Carter that was NEVER converted to Dolby.

I know you guys probably know as much as anyone else but what do we think? I definitely hope so. I used to dislike Dolby but her mixes are usually pretty well made.

I disabled Dolby Atmos on my soundbar, because when playing Disease loud it was unbearable to listen. It was like some part of the instrumental was so loud that it was unpleasant to listen.

Same here! The chorus was unbearable - it drained a lot and what’s left is too loud

I don’y have a soundbar. I can get atmos from my tv speakers and airpods and I actually liked Disease’s mix. The ones I think leave A LOT to desire are obviously Sour Candy with the missing scream

Applause because “Turn the Lights/Make It Real” is too low and far away it almost feels like they’re not meant to be listened and I doubt Gaga wanted that.

and the same exact problem in ARTPOP with the “ARTPOP” chants (ARTPOP, ARTPOPP, AAARTPOOOP) they got the sonically equivalent of tucked in.

that’s cool. I don’t have it added to my library maybe I’ll do that but on streaming it just says “Lossless” which also only streams 100% lossless on aux cable as far as I’ve heard

In my experience Dolby Atmos doesn't sound right from a singular source. It really benefits from having at least two surround speakers to go with the front firing speakers. It does exactly what you say which is like random instrumental jumpscares lol.

I think MAYHEM is now Dolby Atmos (or maybe was for some time now), because I'm listening to Perfect Celebrity on AM at work and it sounds different - more hear'able background vocals.
