Also, I cried twice watching it (the moment when they talk about fans and Abra and again when they got into her making comments on the stage about supporting trans people). There seems to be enough distance for her now to talk about some topics she was quiet about before. I really wonder about those falling outs with her old crowd, she seems so emotional about it. There is some kind of mirror image, looking back on BTW era, she needed the fans to make her Fame a reality, to unlock a sense of strength for BTW…… it took the love of the public to become Lady Gaga since then it’s been a rollercoaster of criticism and trying to prove and craft her legendary status as an actress and vocalist……… Now, it took simple, real life and real love to find bravery and security again…. it took this love for herself, inspired through Michael, to re-centre on who Stefani is and then fully accept Lady Gaga again…… and Mayhem feels like a narrative of this told through a gothic, industrial lense… i don’t know where she goes from here, beyond LG7, but for now I’m excited for this gift and this ambitious renaissance of Lady Gaga. I just love hearing Gaga talk about how she makes songs, I can feel her passion for it. I cant believe I get to listen to all of it in 1 hour.
