What / how did the first episode or segment of this radio show start

Was it with TEOG or ASIB?

She doesn’t remember Chromatica :traumatica:

I get the sense that while Gaga wrote a lot of Chromatica at the piano, like she usually does, it was Bloodpop that did the lion share of the work turning it into a pop record. Her heart just wasn’t in it.

She’s clearly so passionate about everything aspect of Mayhem, whereas when she talked about Chromatica she mostly discussed the lyrics, cause that was probably the part she had the most connection to.

That's absolutely not true and everyone thinking this should listen again to her series of radio shows episodes done at the time. She's the one on day one who wanted a dance album. Made to dance through her pain.

That narrative is all done by some Monsters who like to hate on BloodPop for literally zero reason.

Yes, they are different subgenres according to Gaga. But it is unclear whether BTW is same subgenre as TF(M) or not. TF and TFM belong together, but whether BTW does, too, hard to say. It could still classify as "earliest" or already be post-earliest. Judas sounds a bit like Abra and is BTW. But Judas could also be interpreted as "somehow should have been TFM."

TFM had a few songs and videos that could have fit with BTW, so I think it would be included and visually the abra video is very BTW and TFM.

My brain has always put them together as a series (if that makes sense) also TFM, BTW, and Mayhem all have black and white covers, but I don't think that was intentional, just something random I noticed lmao.

It would be very interesting if someone could compile all the little comments that Gaga made about her music and that of other artists  for those of us Monsters who are in other parts of the world and can't download the app or subscribe :traumatica:

I listened to every piece of content she ever spoke about Chromatica and I will defend this statement. For the record, I love the album and I have no ill will toward BloodPop. However there is a marked difference between the way she has spoken about the creative process for Mayhem and Chromatica. I also didn’t say she didn’t want to make a dance album or that she was forced too, but she was clearly too emotionally compromised at the time to be the full-on creative powerhouse we know her to normally be in the studio.

She spoke about Bloodpop having to drag her back into the studio from crying and chain smoking on the porch. She spoke about sending Rain On Me to dozens of different producers to figure out the song’s production. None of those examples speak to someone who is operating in their creative prime.

culturalbaptism

We need a playlist of everything she played on the Gaga Radio. We need the rerelease of bedtime stories as well I'm so ****ing ready, one of my fave madonna albums. Madonna artistry truly peaked in the 90s with Erotica, Bedtime and Ray of Light. Legend.

Judas is coming. Let the cultural baptism begin.

Very good observation. Just a little remark: BTW front cover is entirely black-white except for the red lips, while TFM and Mayhem entirely are black-white. So maybe this is a secret hint, Mayhem will be closer to TFM than BTW.

I think this is intentional, whenever Gaga does that, it highlights that she means it very artistic.

I'm looking gorgeous tonight
