Frivolero 3,705
There are more reports of her performance in Singapore but it will be exclusive as well (4-6 shows) (only Singapore). Similar to what the tourism board signed with Taylor when she came to Singapore for an exclusive 6 nights in the area. (also more sites are reporting this). https://www.instagram.com/p/DGuzw6JhOyd/?igsh=MWFnbDh4ejExZWloNA%3D%3D Also Hong Kong minister said it lost its hosting rights to Singapore: https://mothership.sg/2025/03/hk-minister-says-lady-gaga-performing-somewhere-nearby-when-asked-if-city-lost-concert-hosting-rights-to-spore/ Rejoice Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, HK, Thailand! We gonna have a bloodbath lol. https://x.com/gagab33/status/1896679821482361166?s=46 Edited March 4 by Frivolero
Scarlet Witch 1,517
This is based on the previous report. I hope not, I’m singaporean and I’d hate to fight the entire Southeast Asia for tickets

MaybeKermit 4,658
I read somewhere that it’s because Singapore is more safe and has a better infrastructure for these kind of shows, is that true?
Supercarpet 85
We hope this isn't true but all the hints and rumours are gravitating towards it. It just doesn't favour Singaporeans and other Southeast Asian countries. Malaysia and Singapore definitely has the upper hand in stadium capacity and existing experience. The full capacity for the stadium in Hong Kong is 50k and Coldplay is the first "big gig" they're handling. Good luck to all of us
just another gay 836
I will be very sad if the rumors are true about Gaga actually wanted to go to HK at first....

It's not really that, it's the Singapore government that proposes a deal to artists where they get exclusive rights to host the only concert shows in the region--just like Taylor Swift's--and it's really unfriendly to other nations as well. Gaga has not been to Southeast Asia for a decade, and it's sad that only one country in the region gets the shows just because they made a deal. the milky way is 𝓵𝓲𝓫𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰

Damn.. that's messed up
StrawberryBlond 14,763
I love seeing her travel the world and come to people's cities, so if this does happen, I will feel a bit disappointed that her team followed the money when we know not being exclusive to Singapore is possible (see Coldplay's latest dates). This really shouldn't be the standard from now on. Asian countries are more than populated enough to earn a show in their respective countries and they shouldn't need to travel abroad for a concert when Gaga's performed there before. Granted, less travel is much less taxing on Gaga's health but stadium tours involve less dates anyways and travel mostly involves sleeping for the singer, so...I really hope she isn't going to follow Beyonce's recent model and just do mini residences here and there. The idea of a bunch of mini stadium residencies in Europe would be such a missed opportunity. At the very least, I hope her tickets are reasonable to make up for all the travel her fans will have to do. At the very least, I hope her tickets are reasonable to make up for all the travel her fans will have to do. I don’t like this trend either, sure it probably makes financial sense for a city to pay more for the exclusivity, the return on investment probably boosts the local economy, but at the cost of attendees elsewhere. Coldplay did it with exclusive Perth dates, so attendees from all over Australia flew in to attend. Not even a full year later they circled back and played shows in Sydney and Melbourne. It’s kind of a slap in the face to fans who paid for accommodations fly cross country to Perth. This trend will eventually bite these competing cities as an artist will take the highest bidder which won’t include them. I would much rather Gaga do one or two shows in Kuala Lumpur and one or two shows in Singapore, rather than six shows exclusively in Singapore.
