It's not a bad album but it is quite divisive for fans. Up until this day it's still one of the most talked about out of all of them. And for what it's worth, Gaga and Paul have described it as a bunch of people putting their hands on it and changing things, beating a dead horse, etc. til the point they just wanted to stop making music. I don't think ARTPOP is the album they wanted to make, her team made it a painful process.

ARTPOP is also my least favorite. I loved it so much when it finally came out even though it wasn't what I expected it to be. It was comforting during a hard transition in my life and being lonely but overtime it's sound just stopped working for me. When I randomly hear songs I do still get into them besides a few. And the song ARTPOP itself is still one of my favorites. But otherwise it's just not my cup of tea anymore.

And I think all the post ARTPOP hype and thirst over the years also kill it for me because I just don't hear what others hear in it now.

Ill be honest with you, despite ARTPOP now being my favorite album of all time... I see it's flaws, yet I love that about the album  i found comfort with this album & Chromatica during my darkest times and I still do! 

On the other hand, I grew up with FM pop radio and if you asked me my thoughts on her album I'd be ready to toss Applause in the TRASH!!! I HATED Applause with every fiber of my being and I'd be such a liar if I said I love it now that I'm more in tune with my love for Gaga. If I can dodge the song I will, I hate it!!

I view this album so sadly, this was her hardest and I beam with joy every time she mentions it.. there are songs that I had no idea about that I now deem my top 10 songs of all time. Critics and labels hurt this album

ARTPOP isn't my favorite either, but at least it's not a boring album neither an annoying album.

Swine and Donatella are awesome songs. Some of donatellas energy is in abra, by the way!

I think the disbiggest advantage of ARTPOP is that most of the songs are kinda same-sounding, not so diverse, relatively less diverse.

However, during that time, pop music started to become worse and awful, william-like, and ARTPOP still was in the upper fifth of good albums.

Somehow ARTPOP was the era that truly made me obsessed with her. And i liked it more than all the other albums. But yeah it's the album i listened the least. But for me Chromatica is a much weaker album. Much much weaker

i adore ARTPOP, personally.  it came out at a really awful point in my life and getting it for christmas was the highlight of my day.  i spent all day listening to it after i put it on my ipod touch.  it was what helped get me out of a terrible depression as a teenager and what made me happy for almost a year.
