They are on completely different levels of artistry and also success. They can’t be compared. I think kety would have wanted to have the same big success like Gaga is having right now for sure. But how big or if there is any envy on Gaga as a persona idk.

Let's be real, when there's drama between artists most of the time it's the PR team who's behind it. "Roar vs Applause" was a good promo for both of these songs. 

I think that Madonna vs Gaga was a fake feud too. If it was real, Madonna would have sued Gaga. Now many ppl still associate Gaga to Madonna so it worked, they had a huge buzz. And we know that Madonna has a shady diva persona so it solidified it. 

Katy used to be shady back in time, same for Gaga (even if I think most of the time she was right to shade some ppl) but let's be honest, everyone was chasing buzz at the time. Katy might be shady irl, a bit superficial too (I mean how can you speak for women when you defend an alleged r*pist) but I don't think she hated passionately Gaga. I think that Katy admire Gaga, she even posted some nice comments about Mayhem on Insta.

Where do you all get that rich people don't care? "Oh the world is loughing at me, but I have money, so I don't care" - really? That's not how humans work. And humans get jelous, even if they support the one who's got on top. So I know for sure she felt jelousy at least at one point. It's human nature.

That is true. Shes tweeted positive things about Gaga so many times and Gaga like never reciprocates

 

But that also makes me wonder what may have happened in the background cuz Gaga never acknowledging her gives off the impression to me that stuff we dont know about happened in the background to make her not really like her

It's also interesting because KP's support is post the Kesha court case. Like she was at Enigma (I think?) and so on.

She probably is (and was probably jealous during ASIB too) but at the end of the day she is winning in life. She is happily married with a child. So while she may feel jealous every now and then when she sees the charts etc, at the end of the day she probably doesn't lose sleep over it.

Also it's perfectly normal to feel jealous or envious. Anyone with competitive edge should feel it. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga herself felt a little envious of Beyonce during the 2010s

Katy I don't think is so much jealous, but rather her fans are the rabidly jealous and nasty ones that find any excuse to s*** on Gaga's success. Scroll on Twitter and you'll see many of them complain that Katy should have been on Die With a Smile and not her and you know they're livid that Disease and Abracadabra especially are blowing everyone out of the water.

It's hard to imagine this not being the case. When Katy was at her peak, she was doing an interview for Forbes dressed in a money suit and talking about how much she loves to make money and Stevie Nicks revealed in a conversation she had with her once that Katy considers other girls in the industry to be her rivals. I've never believed for a minute that she was totally fine with the downfall of her career over the last few years because of this. You don't go from unstoppable #1's to not even going top ten and be totally cool with it. I'm sure there's been a lot of tears behind the scenes and she just puts on a happy face in public. I'd like to think that Orlando and her daughter have filled the gap left by her superstar career because if she didn't have them, I think she'd be in a bad place.

I can't help but imagine her listening to her peers and wonder where she's going wrong. She sees Gaga continue to get top tens and #1's (Gaga's had 3 US #1's since 2014, Katy's had none, just one top ten) despite her being the previous pop chart queen. She continues to see Gaga sell out arenas and stadiums the world over when she's struggling to sell one arena per city. She continues to see Gaga win a Grammy every year (Gaga has 14 and she's never won any). She continues to see Gaga gain praise when her highest scored album was a mere 61 on Metacritic (Gaga's worst ever score was 61). I know it's driving her fans crazy. I think Katy really researches her fans opinions judging by what she says in the past so I imagine there's a bit of resentment there. I think she knows her limitations, though. She can't listen to 143 and think her music is on par. Her fans, on the other hand, are in "what's she got that Katy doesn't have?" territory.
