Gaga originally said “Sorry Joanne, there’s a new girl in town;” before changing the line to “Gaga’s come out to play” later in the tour. It has been widely speculated that we were supposed to get a darker pop album/EP during the tour (evidence being Frankensteined), but this never materialized. The tour was cut short because Gaga was in pain, which only continued to worsen. Chromatica was her needing to heal through her music, but there was a disconnect. Now, she is completely ready to be Lady Gaga for the Mayhem Era! Plus, look at the performance she wore the red outfit for. The most notable red look was for Bloody Mary (a song that recently had a HUGE boom in popularity)—could this be the “poem”? She also wore the red body suit for Dancin’ in Circles, a song which goes against a lot of Joanne’s themes, and a performance of Paparazzi where she is faced with the negative side of fame and is literally killed for it. She then descended with a white coat over her red outfit to heal (and wore white for the remainder of the show).
