MAYHEM Release time?

I've started a new job and they gave me a Mac to work from home, plus I have 3 months of free apple music and I was thinking of using it to listen to Mayhem in top quality and stuff.

If I use a VPN, will I be able to listen to the album early via apple music? I remember doing this for Harlequin but it was on YouTube. Either way it's only 12 hours before my time zone, so it's not a huge deal if I have to wait.

So it's saying it drops at midnight on the 6th on Spotify for UK, so it will drop at 4pm EST?

Edit, wait that doesn't make sense because that would mean it's released in the USA on the 6th not 7th? I'm so confused

babe we're talking timezones: NZ will get it first because it's one of the first territories in the world where March 7 will arrive

by the time NZ reaches midnight on march 7, it will be 11am of March 6 in the UK, but that doesn't mean the album will be available on UK territory at 11am on March 6. it only means NZ is 13 hours ahead of UK time.

Y'all. The Spotify countdown's the same for all of us, right? So it's coming out simultaneously for all of us, just in different time zones. So put the amount of time left into a date calculator and you'll get what time it's coming out for you. I used this one: https://calculat.io/en/date/count 

So it's dropping at 9pm Cally time. But I knew that already because anything being released in the US at midnight always means 9pm for California.

It's not. The countdown ends at midnight wherever you are in the world, it's not based on the EST timezone if you're outside the US.

I have 2 Spotify accounts set in 2 different countries; right now, one (set in Brazil) says the album is coming out in 9 days and 2 hours, while the other (set in NZ) says it's coming out in 8 days and 10 hours.

Therefore, the album will be available first on my NZ account.

Well, mine says 9 days and 4 hours which ends at 9pm for me on the 6th. So I guess everybody needs to take whatever their countdown says and put it into the calculator.

because you're in California, but the countdown for territories with more than 1 timezone is always based on a specific one. in the US, that is EST.

in Brazil we have 3 different timezone, but all countdowns are based on BRT.

either way, it's not coming out simultaneously for everyone around the globe like you thought.

Hoping they aren't waiting for midnight ET in US so I can use my NZ VPN to get it early lol, lot's of artists have caught on to the VPN thing and holding off till US ET. Even though I'm on the east coast in the US I can't hold off that long.

So for Spotify, if you already have a Premium subscription that is linked to the US (or any other country), then using a VPN connection from NZ will not work because, for Premium accounts, the region is determined by the payment method and not by the location from which you're connected.

If anyone wants to use a NZ VPN to listen to the album earlier, you'll have to sign up for a FREE Spotify account while connected to the NZ VPN. This will allow you to create an account with the region already set to NZ and you'll have earlier access to the music (but with ads)...
