HoeMoe 1,242 Posted February 22 Share Posted February 22 Mildly controversial opinion... although i liked it, I felt Chromatica was unfinished and the whole covid thing doomed the era from the start (not really DOOMEd doomed, cursed?). Her lyrics game was at 100/10 but the production felt kind of unfinished in some spots, Babylon demo was x10000 better. I cant quite sum up what I disliked about it right now cause I didnt have my coffee yet, So i'll go ahead and just blame Bloodclot for the mishaps. Imo it felt TOO finished and polished (music-wise ofc). It lacked some rawness to it that we had for example in the Rain On Me demo. I wish we could have had fun promotional activities but I understand COVID derailed the plans, and we still got several looks and a medley on VMA so it was good for me. Edit: The stupid love music video is disappointing, though. I wish it wasn't filmed on iphone because it really restricted the potential to explore the Chromatica planet and the tribes.
