I feel opposite about it. I feel that having deliberate placement of the bonus tracks shows attention to detail in how they fit into the track list instead of being tacked on at the end. I also feel that “Die With a Smile” will be perfect closing the album given the narrative and way the album opens. Mayhem is about how her own chaos chasing her and being able to run - but not forever. In “Disease” and “Abracadabra” death and love are presented as opposite themes at odds with each other. In order to have love she can’t have chaos - and if she does accept chaos, she can’t have love. But “Die With a Smile” is a love song that accepts death and love as being something that can be together. There is no more running from the chaos, just accepting it. Yet, with accepting it - love IS still possible.
