Carti goes against Gaga, to release March 7th (interscope allowed this?)

I really don't care for myself, but I just want Gaga to have that #1 because last year was probably so disappointing with the movie

I wonder if this is the reason she added DWAS onto the album

i have no idea who this is as well :ladyhaha:

Unless they are also releasing a techno-pop record with a backlog of a 15+ year career, Gaga should be „safe“ from a person called partyboi charli, who spells boy with an I.. :brat:

Little Gaga shareholders being all hysterical again is nothing new either, they just fear for their paycheck from Interscope if LG7 performes poorly in their view.. I assume. Otherwise this obsession with charting doesn’t make any sense 😅

Fun stat, his 3 latest albums are all over 3billion streams, chromatica has less than 3B :enigma: Just to put in perspective how big he actually is on the streaming age.

If he releases on that day, Gaga may lose #1 debut but it's very easy for Mayhem to get 3B streams on Spotify in a short period of time unlike Chromatica. DWAS alone is likely to approach 2B by Mayhem release week.

We little statisticians are a bunch of nerds :zilla: so don't mind our obsession with recording the sales, streams and airplay to predict the probability of Gaga's success in the charts.

I just don't like the meltdowns, whether it bops or flops, what matters is we are content with what we get.

If Interscope is logical, they will really aim for two #1 albums so they will try not to release both of them in the same week. But I think Interscope cannot be trusted when it comes to promoting Gaga. I won't be surprised if they are ready to push Gaga under the bus by letting Playboi carti to release his album and promote him.

If both the albums are released on March 7th, it's very challenging for Gaga to get #1 album considering his recent success and streams. If this happens, be prepared, don't meltdown, even The Fame had a #2 peak, Mayhem can still become a successful album like Billie's Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Another issue, there is a chance that his songs from the new album will occupy many positions in Top 10, decreasing the chances of Abracadabra's expected higher peak during Mayhem's release week. If this happens, remember Always Remember Us This Way and manifest for the longevity of Abracadabra :huntyga:

It makes no sense to “not trust Interscope” when it comes to Gaga. They’ve supported each of her album rollouts enough for her to notch six #1 debuts, from her commercial peak during BTW to a phase like Joanne which had no single occupying the Top 40 when it came out and had a sound that was only a 180 from her previous work, but from most of the pop music scene at the time.

They’ve allowed her to release her main studio albums every 3-5 years, playlisted her singles after Joanne, invest in 2-3 MVs per era, and make a fortune by the time the tours come to an end. She’s expressed nothing but happiness with her relationship to Interscope, so as with a lot of things, fans really need to stop thinking they know what’s best for a 38-year old woman who has made it to the top of her industry. :)

I get the nerding out with numbers and stuff and if that’s a genuine passion for someone, good for them. I’m highly invested in politics, studied linguistics and spiral into depths in that regard, so I get niche-ing into topics.
What I find so pathetic and quite frankly sad are people (not little statisticians) who derive their enjoyment of an project from some random sale and streaming numbers and panic about stuff that literally has nothing to do with them as a person.. 😅

def agree, I was just making the comparison to show ppl he's not small by any means, his streaming numbers speak volumes.

Correct me if i'm wrong but is Carti really even a threat to Gaga? The only two hits he's had in years are Popular and Timeless which are both collabs with the Weeknd where Carti plays second fiddle. His last solo single never reached top 10.

Even if his album does decent first week numbers because of his fanbase, I doubt it has the ability to step on Mayhem.
