It was not the right place and event to promote abra or disease since it was not SNL episode only for her. Next weeks we will get what we want, mayhem performances, snippets, tour dates ❤️

What’s happening next week for us to get performances? 🤔

We've gotten 3 music videos for 3 singles, several live recordings for 2 of those singles, interviews, festival and concert plans lined up, etc... and the album hasn't dropped yet. Let's not pretend we're not getting fed.

I never said she’s not doing anything but since you need me to clarify, I meant live performances

That was hilarious, but also sad that there was no 3-Way in that medley :deadbanana:

She slayed and probably doesn't feel like she needs to promote her songs at this point...

This is such a fun era already, she's everywhere and doesn't give a sh1t :ladyhaha:

Actually feels kinda like her early eras

Yeah, we've gotten a couple live performances of Disease and DWAS already!

Actually those two Disease performance are also part of the odd choices for this era. I remember seeing a lot of backlash as well cause, lets be honest, no one really asked for a joanne-fied version of Disease. Let alone two versions.

I personally loved them cause I like acoustic version! But I would not use those two performances as examples of incredible use of promo. If anything, depending on who you ask, it’s another example of how they missed the mark and don’t quite know what the fans want.

Yeah, I don’t quite understand those. I love love love Disease, but releasing two acoustic version of the song was not going to get people to listen to the original.

Maybe it was just a session she did for fun and wanted to share, but I don’t think it was hype worthy in terms of promotion.

There is still a lot to look forward to and I’m excited, but I think it’s fair to look at this current era and say it hasn’t had the best timings and releases.

Mmmmmkay!

Well, this fan was pleasantly surprised about the acoustic versions. Sorry you aren't getting what you want at the moment 💜

It's getting annoying.

I'm not mad at her or anything but I don't get it.

At the superbowl, she was called specifically for a tribute, so I understand (though Hold my Hand is her worst ballad and I would've preferred Speechless, Always Remember Us This Way or any other appropriate ballad).

At the Grammys I understand too, though I have started to ask myself why does it always have to be her giving up a promo opportunity for a tribute.

**** in a Box was smart. Singing an SNL song on the SNL special guaranteed she would have one of the most talked about moments of the night, but returning latee to perform Shallow?? What the hell? I love the song but I can't wrap my mind around it, specially when the other singers performed new songs.

She knows we would be mad about it and at this point I'm almost convinced she enjoys watching our meltdowns lol

I can only hope Coachella won't be a Jazz and Piano tour and Copacabana won't be a tribute to Brazilian music.

I hope one day she’ll pull a Beyoncé and stop performing live or filming music videos—you ungrateful lot…

I don't really consider SNL50, FireAid, or the Super Bowl as promo. These are additional things we get the chance to see because she's reached a legendary status that still has her relevant to the general public.

The Grammys were the one missed opportunity for a DWAS performance and we all know why that happened.

What kind of Disease or Abracadabra peformance were people expecting when there would be limited rehearsal and tight production turnarounds between acts at SNL50? When it came to the guest musician spots I didn't see much in the way of elaborate staging or dancers. It would be the band with backing singers on centre stage with the performer out front, or something on a side-stage.

She went with Shallow because she knew not only could she do it well, but masterfully so. While then being able to focus on the Lonely Island medley. She's a perfectionist not a machine. Arguably, the most important part of this is being a central figure in a sketch that will live on a lot longer than any solo musical performance.

Oh you're all so annoying, people have to right to want live performances of her own songs. Most people on this forum fell in love with her in the 1st place because of her pop songs and the incredible performances that came with them, that's how she truly gave life to her songs.
