I’m not really into it tbh, I love her and I’m a stan but this is a clear set up for disappointment, especially when Confessions is on a whole different level compared to her latest albums

I mean is she committed enough to reach THAT level?

I really wish she would come up with a new sound and REALLY go for it, if she had explored the Portuguese music through all Madame X tracks, it could’ve been even more impressive, the latin music influence ruins it for me

I'm seeing WAYYY too much MDNA hate in this thread. Give Me All Your Luvin was a great pop song, Girl Gone Wild was a moment, Gang Bang and I'm Addicted brought the experimental touch and were also great, Turn Up the Radio and I'm a Sinner were cute lil bops, etc. :duck: The only unsalvageably terrible song was Some Girls

Madonna has not lost the ability to create magic in the studio. All of her albums post Confessions have great individual songs but lack focus as a whole or are too bloated. Rebel Heart is the perfect example of a potentially great album weighed down by far too much filler.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

I'm gonna tell you
About love
Lets forget your life
Forget your problems
Administration
Bills
And loans
Come with me

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

As some of you talked about how bad her work has been post Confessions / Hard Candy, I've got to say I'm one of those who would completely erase MDNA and Madame X of her discography. If she released Rebel Heart (which is on point) after Hard Candy her legacy would have remain intact imo.

That being said, I am really excited for Confessions pt 2!

Honestly my biggest gripe with MDNA besides the filler tracks being so weak is the production.

I'm Addicted's live mix was amazing, the album mix feels so oppressed.

I wonder if she’s aiming for a big dance hit this year?

Tbh a major issue in her latest albums is her vocals. She’s either autotuned to hell and sounds robotic or she sounds monotone and emotionless.

Good point. It's ironic since she's not that good of a singer, but what I missed the most from Madame X was her voice.
