Maybe watch this and understand why fans ****ing hate Ticketmaster and why it's so difficult for anyone to fight against them. "That's capitalism" and "don't participate in the optional stuff" is such a silly take and doesn't justify Ticketmaster's price gauging and the industry they have monopolized and rigged against consumers.

You misunderstood my words. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about my position. 

It *is* a product of capitalism and it *is* best practice not to give them the website traffic or money if their policies make you mad and wanting to lash out, but I'm not saying people need to shut up and accept it; I'm saying if it makes you want to complain about it, starve them out and direct your complaints to the right people instead of the Twitter void. Complain to the CEOs, jam up their HQ's mailboxes, let your local, state, and federal representatives know that it matters, vote in new representatives that explicitly massage they're gonna work against it, start moving away from capitalism when and where you can. 

Big money changes only get done by coordinated and drastic measures. They aren't going to change anything if they're getting complaints but still seeing increasing profit margins and not having their friends with political pull distance themselves.

That's nice. The ticket situation was objectively an awful hot mess for the eras tour and it would've been more manageable if she did use it. Because, from an economic standpoint, dynamic pricing levels out the supply/demand scale. 

This is not me defending it. I would love to see it go away.

People have been complaining to the right sources, though. And what has been done? Nothing. Once again, I really suggest you watch the video I linked that goes in deep into how Ticketmaster, LiveNation, and concert venues are all tied together. It’s not just the fans who are effected, it’s the artist and venues as well. What can the people do if our elected officials aren’t doing anything to break apart these companies?

Ticketmaster is making record profits, what could complaining to the CEO do? It all sounds so commendable and easy to just complain to the right people like CEOs, writing our elected officials, move away from capitalism, but this relies on good faith on all parties. It’s easier said than done. 

Nothing has been done by our elected officials to curb these insane fees, stopping the bots, stopping Ticketmaster from withholding tickets and reselling them at a higher price.

Biden started talking about it and moved to get rid of junk fees. Semi-competent leadership and communication was leading change. I never said it'd happen fast or easy. 

This whole interaction started because I said complaining on social media and still giving them money/impressions isn't doing anything productive lol

The fact that Beyonce had the option to opt-out but chose to do it anyway knowing it would screw her fans over is wild to me. I swear if Gaga pulls this crap on us I’ll lose so much respect for her. Please Gaga, you’re rich af you don’t need to screw your fans over like Beyonce

Has Dynamic pricing always been a pain point? Asking for reference how long it's been the issue because I don't recall this happening with Gaga specifically--just her specifically--when we got tickets for TCB after she added more dates. They were about the same between both shows we attended so I'm cautiously optimistic that she would likely opt-out of Dynamic pricing.

That’s what happens when you let that lady get away with everything. Internet was going crazy during the eras tour, but we didn’t witness seating seats for 1500$. That’s insane. is she and her husband so out of reality that they think a seated seat should cost that much???? But joke is on the fans(cuz I saw the demand and how quickly they sold out)
