The original (non scalper) prices were cheaper than the Cowboy Carter Ticket, but not that much cheaper. Prices are just insane now. I know it's not entirely the artist's fault-a lot of it is management, labels, etc.-but they need to step up. Tickets for Bey, Gaga, Billie, etc. are all very expensive. For a couple of locations (re: Chromatica Ball), the scalpers purchased way too many tickets, so they had to drop the prices at the last minute. I was shocked at how expensive Sabrina was (I was going to buy tickets, but I decided to save my coins for other artists). I do think people blame the artists too much for high prices (they have some responsibility, tbf). The main issue is a) dynamic pricing and b) Ticketmaster has a literal monopoly that even the government has criticized. Before Trump, I remember some representative was talking about bringing a bill to break up TicketMaster.
