momotaro 2
omg - what a load of tripe http://www.examiner....s-canceled-tour money issues?? Some people will say and/or do ANYTHING for that 15 minutes or seconds of Fame. Even if it's some douchebag on a C-grade "Reputable Website" which is really a Tabloid in disguise, who typically have to make up stories to sell their inferior and often offensive horse-manure filled rags of filth. Nothing disgusts me more. Nothing. Edited February 15, 2013 by momotaro
Guest
So how many has the album BTW sold in the exact two years that the era has lasted?

Brian Newman 200
Does anyone think cancelling the rest of the tour was a dumb idea? I feel like it's not fair to the North American fans who have waited almost a year for the ball and will never get to experience it. I'm obviously praying for GaGa to get better and more concerned with her health, but why not postpone the rest of the ball until mid summer? I don't get it. A lot of organisational work would go into that. Other than that, there's no saying when exactly Gaga will have recovered. And even when she does, she would have to do a lot of training and rehearsing to get back into touring shape. Add to that the planned release of ARTPOP, and it becomes a lot wiser and easier to just scrap the tour entirely and start the new era.

It's only about 20 shows she could maybe do a few more shows once she's better so she can give the ball a proper send off rather than just leave it in limbo. She could release ARTPOPs lead single at the same time and do some cross promotion. She could do 10 final shows across the country at some centralized locations that might be more accessible to fans universally. Or maybe a televised performance at MSG as a final event and ARTPOP lead single release. There are plenty of ways that this can be made into a positive, but it all depends on how she's doing say 3 months down the line.

It buys her a little more time is what my best guess is. After she recovers, she can finish ARTPOP and release it. Promoting an album is hard work, which is why she was ordered to take a few months off, but no where near the strain of touring. Plus, this tour is massive! Live nation can't just press the hold button it with all the workers and equipment it requires. It's a headache for them to have to shut it down early anyways. Just think of her team having to shut it down, start it up again, and shut it down a second time. It seems heartless but that plan just isn't realistic for the last handful of shows. That's my best guess anyways.
mpwmcfly 0
Has anyone else who will never see the BTWB been noticing the type of people who are like "look on the bright side" or "it's just a few dates?" All the people saying dumb **** like that are the ones who... A) Live in countries where the tour wasn't going anyway. B) ALREADY WENT TO THE ****ING TOUR. Are you kidding me? I don't think anyone should be belittling anyone else who is genuinely hurting over this just because they got to see the show already. Some of us are probably going to be waiting another 2 years to see her again and will NEVER see hear the songs on BTW live. Get well soon Gaga. Even though I'm upset I still love + support you. I had to miss the Monster Ball because i had surgery the week of my show and had to sell my ticket to help pay for the medical bills. I got over it. you all will too. You'll never see HML or Schiesse live, i'll never see DITD or Teeth live. It's understandable to be sad, but honestly, you just have got to move on.
