I wasn't a big fan of that one tbh. Too frenetic with so many artists tag teaming it imo. BUT I was thrilled anyway that we were getting some culture on a big platform like that.

Honestly I didn't love that either BUT it had some good highlights.

Kendrick's part in that was more eye popping than most of this set.

I'm not sure why ever since Apple took over these shows are so minimalistic.

Kendrick pushing back, calling for a revolution, saying they picked the right time (bc we're about fed up and ready to rise up) and the wrong guy (Trump), mentioning the cultural divide while walking through the American flag being split apart, calling for our 40 acres and a mule saying this is more than the music, and eventually going off with the song Drake is sueing about. If you wanna know more about his response to Uncle Sam, look into the set list and read his lyrics! They're great.

I knew he'd have something substantial to say, he usually does, but my adhd brain was not gonna let me watch a man stand on stage spitting for 10 minutes without getting so bored I got annoyed  

Wild to compare the absolute spectacles some of our girls (especially Gaga and Katy) put on to some of these dudes' minimalist shows. Buddy's dressed like the clearance rack at a Walmart rapping on a plain stage with 20 dudes wearing hacky sacks

It had a great narrative and story telling! But the production aspect was very one-note

I lowkey loved his outfit. I want those jeans BAD. He's such a lil cutiepatootie 😭 but you're right. The standards are so, so low for men. Instead of watching this back I'm gonna watch his 2016 grammys performance and pretend that's what happened at the game.
