Oriane 20,068
I can't talk about the music because I don't like rap, but the performance, staging, choreo were great. Samuel was the icing on the cake and his and Kendrick's appearances were very well-planned and in sync. Definitely more made for the cameras than for the live audience. If you think it was bad and boring, you need to go out there and watch more performances of all kinds, not just overstimulating high-energy pop shows... Chesescake 3,806
I thought I would see a snooze fest based on the comments here, but this is actually good.
Juanlittlem 42,889
Not into the songs but at least this was visually one of the best shows in the recent years Estàvem al cel, ara estem a l'infern 1

Morphine Prince 103,492
The comments saying “I don’t like rap” or “I didn’t understand” Because this music isn’t superficial in many senses. Kendrick puts a lot of meaning into his lyrics and songs. Basically, if you get it, you get it. Just because you don’t like rap doesn’t mean it has no meaning or the lyrics aren’t good, try to expand your worldview a bit. 3

You're so right. Mozart's allegro in F major has been out for more than a century and has less than a million total streams. What a flop. He'll never make it. Drake cleared him with ease, huh? This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean they think it's worthless and shouldn't get respect. Personally I'm more a melody kind of person, and most of the time, melody is going to be what forms my opinion of the song. Rap is usually unmelodic, lyrics spoken on a beat and when it does have a melody, it's often a sample and I'd rather listen to the original... I just don't find it enjoyable to listen to. RAMROD 106,044
The way one of great modern rapper now revolves his career highlight show on Drake instead of take better advantage of the opportunity, is really sad and disappointing, he don't even sing his classics much. Like where are Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe, Money Trees, Swimming Pools, LOVE, and more?? Like do you know how insane MoneyTrees will be if brought live and with superbowl budget?! Lost opportunity. damn. shame Also, it is pretty boring show, it even got very mixed reviews in black community, people now murmuring fearing it will be the last rap half time for awhile because of it, and I'd say amen to that! Let's go to back to pop girlies again next time. They are clearly got more visions on how to put a show. Edited 6 hours ago by RAMROD Kendrick pushing back, calling for a revolution, saying they picked the right time (bc we're about fed up and ready to rise up) and the wrong guy (Trump), mentioning the cultural divide while walking through the American flag being split apart, calling for our 40 acres and a mule saying this is more than the music, and eventually going off with the song Drake is sueing about. If you wanna know more about his response to Uncle Sam, look into the set list and read his lyrics! They're great. @PartySick here's a lil overview lol Serious question: do you happen to know the significance of the Playstation icons on the set? I didn't get that lol. Gagaism 10,248
The fact that you have ppl here still comparing a male SB performance to a female amazes me lol, like, it’s not gonna happen. We all know women will always be the ones who deliver deliver, period. Now talking about Kendrick, I think he was fine… I could maybe expect some more of a protest kind of performance from him? Probably yes, but still, he did his thing the way he was supposed to, especially for the rap scene. I don’t know. I just thing he’s another level kind of rapper and I liked what I saw.
Murakami27 2,085
I thought it was pretty good. I wish it was a bit more dynamic. I felt it stayed at the same level throughout. I can't say that I was wowed. I think Kendrick was really good.
