Bobina 1,584
...But are okay with now? I became a stan just after Bad Romance became a hit. And I've been a ride-or-die ever since. My first "disappointment" with Gaga was the MTN music video. Looking back on it now, it's her first simplistic video since BTW dropped but it's gorgeous and the song is one of her best. I remember specifically being disappointed by the length of the video. Like, "OMG! I can't believe this video isn't 10+ min long." Knowing how rare music videos can be these days, I'm grateful we got that music video at all. What was your first Gaga-related disappointment that, when you look back on, but wasn't really worthy of being disappointed by in hindsight? NUTELLA 4,650
The Chromatica album cover. I made my GGD account in 2020 specifically to complain about how busy I thought it was, and how ugly I considered the outfit to be. But then I decided to zip my lip & logged out for 4 years lol. Over that time, I've come to appreciate it. Spoiler The shoes are still stupid, though. 1 2
Oriane 20,071
Chromatica is least one of my least favorite albums, but some of the songs have grown on me. You popped my heart seams, all my bubble dreams
TheARTPOPball 183
Chromatica album. Just needed some time with it. Some of the songs have grown to be my favorite.
princedeeblebleble 866
Joanne I guess? I started appreciating it during covid when I needed calmer music :P On the other hand, it was fan mixes that made me like certain songs.

Isn’t the Marry The Night music video almost 14 minutes long? Or am I interpreting your disappointment the wrong way? SS77 1,738
The Alejandro music video. I was 15 at the time, and still hadn’t fully let go of Fame era Gaga. Bad Romance and Telephone videos premiered and they were obviously deeper and deeper into Fame Monster Gaga. But Alejandro really left me shook Obviously, I love it nowadays
Ligufaca 4
Born This Way cover, while it's still not my favourite thing, has grown on me over the years. I'd also say the same about some of the looks during that era, like I remember my friend and me bitching during that era about how her looks were too extra etc, and looking back now, I'm like bish what was I thinking? Those looks were iconic and I now have a whole new different appreciation for that era that I necessarily didn't have back then
crazygato 464
The BTW era. NOT the album! It’s my fav! But girl those single choices… It started out GREAT, lead single did its job but after that I was convinced her team was the driving force behind all the messiness and overexposure. They MILKED her so bad, all for profit, and the era was ruined in the process. I’d say she was a little delusional too (the baptism/ betrayal thing, male alter ego/ little girl with ice cream cone ) but I forgive her as her team was basically forcing her to make 💩 up along the way. Everything was either rushed, bloated, or underwhelming. I couldn’t believe this was the same flawless pop star of TF/M. Looking back, this was mostly her label’s fault. I’m at peace with it now and admire her ambition this era even if the result was messy. I was a kid at this time but I was very confused by the rush release of Judas, random rush release of TEOG (and simple video), WW release of YAI and finally MTN seemed like the only planned single after the lead, but it was too late. Beautiful song, now a forgotten release. Oh well, I’m excited for Mayhem and expect 5+ singles like BTW!!!

JoeMo 3,792
Perfect Illusion. I didn’t get it when it was released. But I really love it now. I think it’s a really well produced track and serves as quite a statement at that stage in Gagas career. www.youtube.com/jmremixes
