Not always...I'm still incredibly miffed about her silence during the election despite everything she's always stood for being at stake. The decision to stay out of social/political issues was to not draw negative PR for her planned Joker campaign but it was abandoned after the film flopped anyway. So she ditched her morality and activism for no reason She's got a lot of atoning to do for that in my eyes but this was a good step in the right direction I'm just like 🧍♂️

I don't understand what you're talking about. 1 hour ago, ALGAYDO said: Some of her fans truly deserve the absolute worst for wanting her to prioritize her own profit over helping those in need. And it’s not like and of you get a cut of the profits, it’s literally just being selfish for the sake of being selfish. Glad most of us understand than human lives are more important than bragging right or money. I know you were directing that at me as you reacted to my earlier post. "Deserve the absolute worst" is a bit dramatic. She can profit and help people, it's not one or the other. People don't need to hear a cover song to donate, you can donate whenever. I've known people who've donated directly to a charity because they didn't like the charity single. Performing another tribute was neither here nor there. Was the entire performance segment scrapped and everyone just performed tribute songs? No, there was a specific tribute and then everyone else sang their hits. It was revealed this was the plan for them too and then plans were changed last minute. Why did it just so happen to the act who had the biggest hit in the US right now? Didn't want them to be even bigger? There are lots of legacy acts that weren't nominated that could've done this instead. Giving it to active artists who were nominated when they had a song of their own to promote wasn't fair. It's nothing to do with selfishness, it's about fair play. The least the Grammys could do is allow them to perform it next year. It's the only way they could make up for the under-handed thing they did. Gaga deserves so much and they keep messing her around for no reason. I don't understand why more people aren't mad about this.

At this crucial time where a second Trump term was looming, LGBTQ+ rights were at extreme risk, women's rights were at risk, racial minorities' rights and protections were at risk, immigrants' rights and safety were at risk, she opted to stay quiet aside from saying "make sure to vote" in July, posting a tiktok, and performing for two and a half minutes 'cause they didn't want her in the news for anything other than Joker...and I guess they kinda got what they wanted in the end I'm just like 🧍♂️

It’s not that serious.
Franch Toast 25,995
Optics aside, I look at it this way: We might not otherwise have gotten the gem that is Gaga & Bruno performing "California Dreamin'" together. We have performances/video of DWAS, and we might get even more. I'm really happy we have this unexpected "California Dreamin'" performance. They did the right thing. What an epic episode that could be. Anybody got Lorne’s phone number? Like a poem said by a lady in red
SlowLoris 982
Not to mention the fact that the title "Die with a smile" has a macabre ring to it given the circumstances lmao
