Kaevin95 102
I love the fact that i simply dislike Disease and after a loot of listening to it i admitted to myself that was just not my cup of tea (and i knew also GP was not going to feel it), i renember in 2011 when i first heard Bloody Mary i was like "GIRL, THIS NEEDS TO BE A SINGLE." This song is giving me such an addiction and everything about it screams Hit. And not in terms of selling which i don't really care, but this song is something that you hear in your ****ing mind even when you are completely dustracted by your life/job. This is what Disease imo is not, very Gaga essence. She can do anything cause she has more talent than height but when she project herself again into her musical soul that's what she brings, a literal drug to ears. I love her so much, thank God you made me live these times. Edited 5 hours ago by Kaevin95

StrawberryBlond 14,274
It's a joy to see Gaga return to her dark pop roots and imagery. As soon as it started, I immediately thought of Alejandro with the colour scheme, army of dancers and the evil Gaga overlooking everyone. While choreo was never what made me love her, it was good to see her give it all all in a video like she used to, giving her long-time fans their wish. The verses are very intricate, the chorus is glorious and that last minute bridge saw her bring the vocals which we'd not heard on her uptempo pop songs for a while, she saves that for ballads these days. While it still has time to grow on me, it's a solid single and I could definitely see it appealing to the public to blast in their cars and do TikTok dances to. Potential Halloween hit as well, another one for the Gaga Halloween playlist. And her team repaired the mistake they made with Disease and debuted the video on the same day as the song, which is crucial for views and likes in this day and age.

bornthisway135 450
First off, I love the “Category is: Dance or Die” and the decision to incorporate a “HUH” chant is very LoveGame. I also love that as the dancers begin to move, Gaga stands still to make herself known to the Lady in Red. Like BRING IT ON BETCH. And in the second verse I find it interesting that the Lady in Red sings the words “Watch it burn” and “No return” as if she’s the warden using fear tactics to keep her prisoners in line and wrongfully hopeful. Cuz I believe she’ll kill them all anyway, she just wants entertainment as if they’re jesters. Then I realized that when the Lady in Red starts dancing, as if she’s possessed, is the same choreography in the Disease video when Mayhem is being blown by the wind and struggling. It makes me feel like this video is the prequel to what transpires in Disease. She’s in some sort of prison (one that reminds me of the movie The Platform). The Lady in Red then serenades the crowd with the ahhhs like how Sara Sanderson does to the townspeople in Hocus Pocus; it’s pretty, but it’s a spell. And everyone IS under her spell, except Gaga. She makes that very clear when the music stops and they are chanting ABRACADABRA and she screams. As if she’s come to realize she has broken the spell and can escape. She finds her escape in last moment of the video when she looks up to the angels. it makes the Disease video make wayyyy more sense to me now. I hope I’m not reaching with this theory, but I hope the next music video bridges the gap. 3

I just rewatched the Disease video and the antagonist uses the SAME bighorn cane she uses in Abracadabra! I wholeheartedly believe they are the same character. 1
chromaticainmyhead 6,410
I'd say - if you exclude the ballads (they're a category on their own in her discography at this point) - I'll give Abra a 12 in the ranking from the CURRENT most impactful singles of her career so far but if it really takes off I'd easily see it in the top 5 1) Bad Romance 2) Poker Face 3) Born This Way 4) Just Dance 5) Paparazzi 6) Telephone 7) Bloody Mary 8) Edge Of Glory 9) Judas 10) Rain On Me 11) Applause 12) Abracadabra 13) Disease 14) Stupid Love 15) Do What U Want (ft. Christina) with Ballads 1) Die With A Smile 2) Bad Romance 3) Shallow 4) Poker Face 5) Born This Way 6) Million Reasons 7) Just Dance 8) Paparazzi 9) Telephone 10) Bloody Mary 11) Edge Of Glory 12) Judas 13) Rain On Me 14) Applause 15) Abracadabra pls don't come at me I love the song (it just needs more time) Edited 3 hours ago by chromaticainmyhead fan-tas-tique, chic, freak, slaaaay
gagzus 15,154
After another watch I sooooo cannot wait for the tour that accompanies this album I just know it’s gonna be sickening and Parris’ choreography is gonna EAT. I also hope Honey Balenciaga joins her on tour as a main dancer. i love that Parris understands she has Fibro so she incorporated choreo that she could do sat down, with a cane and without heels Edited 2 hours ago by gagzus 1
mightyriverz 2,024
i've been watching this MV all day today, honestly, she hasn't put out such eye candy since G.U.Y. with Disease she reached for storytelling, cinematography, and I love it just as much but with this one it just has that little spice to it, the scenes, the choreo, the camera movement, everything is so in sync it just catches you
