The song is so catchy, she sounds amazing, and the mv??? The choreo and the theming?? It’s such classic Gaga, I am so here for it. This is peak Gaga. I have honestly and truly loved each era she's put out (except jazz but I appreciated it for what it was). Chromatica was stunning. I understand why some of you are doing it, because she's not really returned to the truly dirty dark-pop for a while - but we don't need to trash past content in the process. The video is amazing not gonna lie, self-referential, but fresh. The post-chorus is not my favourite, but that's because I prefer something more melodic, but it works in the context of the song so so well and gives me government hooker vibes. Whether or not it does, doesn’t matter too much to me because I’m getting that feeling I got when Bad Romance and BTW dropped. I haven’t felt so much elation from pop music in a long time. She’s revisiting a sound and aesthetic from her past without it feeling too pastiche and nostalgic, while still moving it forward.
