27monster27 11,871
Ten years ago today on February 1st, 2015, Katy Perry performed at the Super Bowl: https://youtu.be/ZD1QrIe--_Y?si=goF-GKOrpYaLXRUn (Apparently it can't embed. ):) From Left Shark to a giant tiger, the pop star took to the stage in a dazzling performance. She performed hits from her first three albums (then all that was out from her) and invited Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott to join her on stage. Through eight songs she took over the Super Bowl and took over the internet with memes. Left Shark was perhaps the biggest one, which resulted in trademark battles. Her flying on a shooting star was compared to the "The More You Know" meme. The show was also then-the most viewed show in it's history. ---- Ten years ago is wild. The fact that the second half of the the 2010s is starting to be ten old ago is wild. It's even more wild if you take into account the fact that it's not true. Edited February 2 by Jill Former First Lady of the United States. gumzy3000 7,022
My friend just asked me today if I wanted to go to the next Katy Perry concert with her and I said yes because Katy's performances are always fun and produced so well. Her Super Bowl show proves this. While I wasn't a huge fan of her last few releases, Teenage Dream and Prism are iconic and it came out when I was a teenager. I never saw Katy Perry live nor was I ever enough of a fan to think I would pay to see her show, but I think I might just do it for this tour. Super excited! trolly troll troll

While Katy’s show might not be the type of art that makes you think. It will definitely be a fun 2 hour getaway from the crazy world. Seen her during Prismatic and Witness tours, very campy and energetic! Edited February 2 by Easy 1

But yeah from the bon appetit time it went downhill and she became a full on nostalgia act.
Raivo 150
Okay, production was out of the roof. Insane! I have to say also a bit cringy how Katy went from try-hard rock chick to bubblegum pop of teenage dream / California gurls which really suits her best and then back to try-hard rap groupie. Id see ger live as well if its cheap enough. Katy has always been among my favs actually but, I can never justify $350 on a bad seat even for Gaga so I almost never go to concerts
