Are you ok if Mayhem is not GP friendly?

Do I like to see her succeed commercially and score hits, and hopefully make the other fandoms stop the “she didnt have a solo hit since…” narrative? Hell yeah

But it is even more satisfying to see them become hits later and see the GP finally get some taste, like with Judas and BM

She herself has said many times she hates to be put in a box, I don’t think she should be watered down and filtered until she’s “safe” enough for “gp” consumption. Let her do her thing. Charts don’t matter in the slightest

As long as I love it I don’t give a damn who else does (and even if I don’t, which I highly doubt, I won’t care)

MOT

I predict that it won't impress the GP, that it will be a critical success, and that I will love it. And that's fine by me.

I dont care. I want her to be as artistic and GAWGAW as possible.

I’m fine with it, she has accomplished so much already that I want her to not play things safe anymore. I want her to just have fun and explore more in music but tbh she did already say that about this album so I'm excited :volantis: at least DWAS has been a hit

I just want fresh sounds and amazing visuals. Tomake me go on a trip with her. Escapism. Don’t care if it’s gp friendly or not.

Yall are just saying this but when the GP isn't there for it, it would receive limited gigs and yall be like 'the album came and went as good as it was'

As long as the actual album and tour sell, she'll be absolutely fine (budget wise)

Singles aren't everything these days.

After ARTPOP, I stopped caring about the charts. It's exhausting and drains all the fun out of it. Now, I just want to be in love with the music. If it happens to do well on the charts, then that's just a nice bonus.

You know I wanna be like that but when a project doesn’t perform as well as she/her team/the label expects she never mentions it again (if it’s a song she never sings it again) she only performs the hits on tour

How can she tell us, just care about the music when she never turns her head back if the music is not a #1 :saladga:

Was BTW “GP friendly”? Did we care then?

Nope, but it did have some GP friendly songs like TEOG. My question is it ok if the entire album is not GP friendly

The only thing that would frustrate me is fans complaining that it’s not selling enough. I swear I forget charts are a thing sometimes until I see Monsters complaining about them lmaoo

First time I heard Disease I thought “oh this one’s for the Fans” so it’s no surprise it didn’t chart *as well,* but we can’t have it both ways. She’s truly doing fan service this era and I’m HERE for it. If it’s a chart mega smash? That’s just a really awesome bonus, but the music itself is the reward for me :firega:
