Mr S 8,672
We already know Disease wasn't, but if the rest of the album follows the same path, would you be ok with that? Does that matter anymore? Does Gaga need the GP? 2 8
MountainMonster 579
I could care less. Disease is incredible, if the “GP” doesn’t have taste, maybe they’ll develop it. 41 3
NUTELLA 8,723
I don't want her to "play it safe" necessarily, but I also don't want it to be comprised of headache-inducing experimentation. 8 1
Bobina 2,049
After ARTPOP, I stopped caring about the charts. It's exhausting and drains all the fun out of it. Now, I just want to be in love with the music. If it happens to do well on the charts, then that's just a nice bonus. "634 blowjobs in 5 days. Economy 49,536
I have a mixed answer to this. I love to see Gaga slay, be appreciated, and I want her to ever solidify herself as one of the biggest legends of this decade. She may not compete with Taylor Swift in that aspect but excluding her she could be the 2nd biggest female artist from her time. So yes i care about charts But regardless that doesnt mean ill somehow enjoy the album less or stop stanning her. If charts were important to such a point that determined if i like her work or not id have ditched her in 2013 for Katy Perry as i was an OG Fan that experienced how huge she was in 2009 to 2011 and I remained loyal regardless of whether an era flopped or slayed charts Disease is my fav lead ever with only Bad Romance coming close. Its failure to chart well doesnt change that. So musically and quality I dont care, it doesnt affect how much I enjoy it. But id be lying if I said I was indifferent to charts Edited January 30 by Economy 3

This for me as well. I worry a little that she might push it too far. I don’t like Dua Lipa’s music because it’s bland and I can’t enjoy Charli or Rina because they break the traditional song structure too much. Swine and 911 are not my favorite songs (I still like them!). That being said, I like 99% of Gaga’s discography and I love all the new snippets, including Gesaffelstein’s work, so I’ll remain hopeful. DrKindnessKunt1999 6,062
Frankly, I want her to go even more hardcore than Disease. I want her to go full Industrial Techno Schranz. Basically, I want the song to feel like the AHS Hotel Teaser. Maybe a little more intense: Hopefully, Disease is a ballad compared to at least some of the songs from Mayhem.

Its failure to chart doesnt change that I agree to an extent. I also think she could/should be Taylors runner up in the big picture. But I don't necessarily think she needs the charts for it. I think she should take a page out of Beyonce's book and just keep serving quality. If everything is quality then that alone will help her go down as a goat. Having said that, I still would like her albums to debut at #1. But for songs/hits, I like the idea of BRAT or Beys stuff where people just listened and enjoy it regardless of the charts

Her musical approach is nebulous, but if she can split the difference between Dua and Charli this time, I think I'll dig it. I don't care for either of the Paris snippets (of the two, I prefer NB), but the Zombieboy snippet is a groove, and the Shadow of a Man snippet has HAD ME BY THE HAIR since May 😍 I'm confident Mayhem will have songs for everyone to enjoy AND to complain about haha
