Unless the song hits with the GP like how Sam smith did with Unholy, chances for this happening is very slim 😭 every single song on top 10 Spotify Global and Apple Music is either HAC and easy listening like DWAS, BOAF, Thats So True or Bad Bunny. Abracadabra has a tough wall to beat.

Gaga wont debut super high anyway so it may be worth loosing a couple days in first tracking week if it increases the chances of more innitial impact

That was my thinking too. I don’t particularly care for the charts, but just to entertain the thought, I think they think premiering the song + video at the Grammys is gonna give it more attention than if she had just premiered the song first, and then the video later. I mean, look at Disease. Little monsters were so impatient and couldn’t wait for the video. They probably thought it’d be better to debut both at once at the biggest night for music this year.

Love that she's doing this debut at the Grammys. I hope they play the whole song! Honestly, I find this exciting as a fan because I feel like it gives her more of a spotlight, and these sort of things rarely happen anymore.

Plus, the whole industry will be tuned in on Grammy night so it's possible that this gives the song more mainstream coverage.

Cherry on top would be if they win and get to accept an award for DWAS on-stage as well. A lot of eyes would be on her and the album.

They can always cut the music video for time. Especially because it's in the ad break so it costs money and the entire song is more than 3-mins long.

They'll probably do a short teaser during one of the breaks, but I don't think they'll play the full song + video. That would eat up too much time for the ceremony. Plus, it's probably insanely expensive. I could see them playing 20-30 seconds of the song & video and then at the end it says "Stream Abracadabra on all platforms now" or something like that.

Can yall just enjoy the music and stop worrying about catering to the “easy listening” crowd and charts for once? If you want elevator music that’s digestible for the masses listen to Fortnight and its 8383717363 variants

Yes but the song/mv better be GOOD then bcs after Joker flopped they cannot risk anything. This could really make a lot of people not even wanting to tune in for the Mayhem era anymore

oh I’m not worried at all, idc if abracadabra is a smash hit or not, so long I enjoy the song and its visuals that’s all that matters. same goes for disease

What do you want her to do... hide? This is the promo the album needs and she's doing it.

Releasing anything in itself is a risk, anyway. If the song is good, then this would help it be talked about instantly. If the song is bad, then no amount of hiding or being lowkey will help it.

Guys, at the end of the day it's the same. A friday release would have been guided by us fans. But this time she'll have the huge exposure from the Grammys + us fans who'll be streaming like crazy. The next day all the media will talk about it and hopefully it'll gain some momentum among the GP.

What I'm trying to say is if the song and the video are great, on that sunday alone she can gain what she missed on the friday and the saturday before.
