Well she did say there's a bit of "dreamy sounds" on the album sooooo h

Yeah but singles are introductions to new sounds, so I don’t see the point of keeping it till the album drops.

It has an aggressive, ritualistic, and almost demonic energy, with Gaga delivering wild screaming and chanting vocals before the track erupts into a hard-hitting industrial drop.

It definitely calls back to her hyper edm sound and attitude from ARTPOP too, especially on tracks like Aura, Swine and even Partynauseous

For anyone who hasn’t heard the Paris snippet of ‘Abracadabra,’ I’d describe it as a mix of ‘Bloody Mary,’ the German-speaking parts of ‘Scheiße,’ the dance breakdown of ‘Judas,’ and, instrumentally, a touch of ‘Von Dutch’ by Charli XCX. It has an aggressive, ritualistic, and almost demonic energy, with Gaga delivering wild screaming and chanting vocals before the track erupts into a hard-hitting industrial drop. It then closes with choir vocals reminiscent of the Gregorian chants in ‘Bloody Mary.’ I can’t wait to hear the full track  :cryga:

I mean, we have heard like 10 seconds of it... are you describing a fan made extended version or what? :air:

It's closer to Aura than BM tbh.

Not a good choice imo but it is what it is…

Not a lot of gaga singles are radio friendly. I have no idea what you're even complaining about. They became radio friendly over time but she isn't radio friendly initially. Period.

We only heard a short snippet but it seems not very GP friendly which already followed Disease. But who knows, maybe the rest of the song is the best ever

Just because it is supposedly not gp friendly ir doesn’t mean it can’t be “the best ever”.

Some of y'all are so caught up with whether or not it's going to be "GP-friendly," it's wild :saladga:

Gaga is a mainstream artist, but her sound is not mainstream. She's always going to do something different and out of the box, and it looks like she's really pushing herself with MAYHEM. Do not expect this album to be full of "radio/GP-friendly hits." From what we've heard so far, it seems to be fairly experimental and all over the place.

MAYHEM is literally a fan service album, and I'm not saying that in a bad way! For so long, y'all wanted her to go back to her darker aesthetic, tackle industrial/electronic genres, and be more experimental with her sound. She's doing all that and more with this era! So please, don't get caught up on what you think will "hit" with the GP. Let the music speak for yourself and enjoy the ride.

Every thread has people complaining about songs not being GP friendly before we've even heard them. Who cares. You're gonna listen regardless of what the GP thinks. You'll be fine whether it charts high or not. Your daily life will not change.

An more news on the single allegedly coming this week? Gaga hasn't announced it yet has she?

Nope not announced and was wondering the same.

we have absolutely no news except for that “announcement” in that Variety article but idk if thats even reliable.

we are Wednesday and if she’d release in Sunday she should announce it asap to build some hype
