I don't think it has to be a retcon though 'cause the execs that gave Ripley the business in Aliens could've simply been unaware of the aliens' existence or lying to her to get further info (or discredit her) since they failed to get a specimen during the events of Alien: Earth which made them try again on LV-426... A new series that'll slot into the movie continuity between Alien and Aliens. I don't think it'll have anything to do with the movies though, that's just the time period it takes place in. I think after Alien 5 was shut down Sigourney peaced out. I'd be cool with directors borrowing the alien for one offs or out-of-canon films (like AVP and AVPR). But it seems like this series will be set in the canon story. Ridley Scott is a producer as well so I'm sure he won't let them fiddle too much with his original film, his prequels, or the Cameron sequel. 3 and Resurrection remain in danger I'm just like 🧍♂️ 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
