I don't think she's that kind of geek but probably enjoyed it while hanging out with Bloodpop. I do love that she embraces Japan culture when she's over there.

Lady Gaga honestly in general needs to embrace east-asian pop culture the was she did during the ARTPOP era. Her aesthetic and work has always fit into those cultures, and with Japan in particular she always has been appreciated. Get top 10s as a non-native artist there is very hard, and keep in mind that at the Japanese Gold Disc Awards in 2014 ARTPOP was in the top winners and Applause at the Japanese VMAs won Best Pop Video.

I just hope her new work starts appealing to Asian fans again. I feel like she's really lost her foothold there post-BTW. That album was her biggest ever there and provided her with her most lucrative Asian tour leg of all time, sold-out stadiums in so many countries that she'd never been to. But after that, Japan and South Korea are the only places she'd go to and they didn't even sell out as spectacularly or have additional demand. She didn't even go there with JWT because that album just didn't appeal. I want to see her make up for lost time and do a proper Asian leg again, now she's made them miss her. She could totally have success there like Avril Lavigne once did (though even her success waned considerably after 2013). The success of DWAS in Asian countries is a very good start, she even recently got top ten chart positions in Thailand and Vietnam, where she never had before. She needs to come back with a bang to Asia, Western popstars have really been abandoned there as of late now that K-pop has become so dominant. Taylor is the only one truly slaying that market.
