Your FYP is very much tailored to you lol. MAGA is definitely going after her.

Worstie, I'm a gay man and it was a pop stan account, there is no maga content in my for you page :air:. If YOU want to twist the narrative, and insists on the idea that only white supremacists were criticizing her, because YOU feel uncomfortable about people in México having a negative perception of Selena, that's a you thing, lol.

I couldn't begin to care less. I just described what I saw. If you only saw MAGA people on Twitter talking about it, IDK, maybe you spend too much time on MAGA circles :reductive:. Not my experience TBH.

But based on what I saw, it was very much not "MAGA" people dragging her, it was mexicans

Trump got a record share of the Latino vote in this election (44%).

In Texas, where the Latino population is largely Mexican, he got 64% of Latino men and 43% of Latino women.

The venn diagram of "MAGA" and "Mexican" is becoming more and more like a circle with every election.

You're stinky

Mostly mexicans (REAL MEXICANS not people born and raised in the US but with a mexican abuelita) are the ones dragging her. And yeah, playing the victim was an awful move specially just after she did that disgusting film. We are kind of tired of this US celebrities using the mexican/latino card just for $$$.

Like what are you crying girl? you're a legal US citizen as mexican as taco bell

I just wished celebrities with a big ego didn't try to make this situation about themselves. If celebrities truly want to help, they should use their dollars and influence effectively. There's so much more they can do beyond public displays of emotion. Supporting organizations, funding legal aid etc..

I saw the video on IG, and mexicans were DRAGGING her :air:. I had no idea she was so heavily disliked by the mexican community, I'm guessing that messy film really rubbed them the wrong way :selena:

I will say though, I do find it crazy that in this situation, where people are legitimately fearing for their future, she manages to make it about herself and be the victim 💀. Girl, if you shared a video because you supposedly care, own it.

Her deleting it, and then being passive aggressive on her stories makes it seem like she's just upset she's not getting praised for it :awkney:. Bestie, it's not about yo, OMG :madge:

I agree, the problem with this video is that even she tried to be supportive... When you're a billionaire and you say "I wish I could do something" it just sounds hypocrital.

She could advocate for them, create associations and give money to the victims of the system... But she just recorded herself crying and got some bad-buzz. :saladga:

I like her but I understand why even Mexicans doesn't support her. But I'm against the one who bully.

The MAGA ppl who bully her are just a bunch of racist rats. :patrizia:

Now if I were a billionaire like her, I would flex my muscles and pour every dime into his opponent and crush him

have you done extensive research on this analysis of yours or are you still taking about that one post you saw?

No, I'm not writing a book about it, I saw a celebrity talking about a very sensitive subject that does not affect them in the slightlest, only to remove their post after it was not met with praise, and I thought it was ridiculous. I'm glad she was dragged, I agree with most mexican people on IG, it felt performative.

She's a billionaire, she has plenty of ways to actually send relief to those affected. A video of her crying serves nobody but herself.

Girl... this is one of the most deranged things I have EVER seen on this site.

Who hurt you?

I'm fine bestie, crazy that you assume I'm hurt over a celebrity post on IG :air:. But Selena Gomez wellbeing and online reputation seems to be a very dear subject to you.

I'm glad that in the midst of everything that is happening right now, you focus firmly on what's truly important: Serena Gomez' feelings :diane:

SNARK ASIDE, you guys are too dramatic :ladyhaha:. Her video was seen as dumb by actual mexicans, get over it, it's not that deep, is not like she's the one getting actually deported :toofunny:

I don't think she's evil. She probably is legitimately sad, I can totally see her feeling genuine empathy for those affected.

But if you're a billionaire, a video of you crying, gurl... :air:. She should be more understanding of critics, they were justified IMO.

Had she posted... IDK, a link for legal advice, anything ACTUALLY HELPFUL, her post would've been received differently I think.

It disturbs me any time any of them mention someone should be deported, it feels more like "seized and put in the camps" because really, where is she supposed to be deported to? They know she's an American.
