I wonder if Taylor charges a booking fee for those paparazzi dinner dates in NYC. Maybe he can negotiate whatever rate Selena gets every time she gets into some sh*t  :icant:

Oh, the life of the rich, famous and powerful. And Taylor has a special chair on that league. Selena wishes!

Sorry, off topic, back to bashing these other peasants.

The mayor of my city silences his insta posts as to not be criticized by the population. Now THAT is silencing the public.

Not exactly, especially in times like these. I'm not sure what his policies are, but often, even when you announce something objectively good, people will criticize you anyway and for the most baseless of reasons. This renders most honest debates or opinions pretty much worthless, as the comment section suddenly turns into a competition to see who can say the meanest thing. Social media is a useful tool for sharing information and spreading messages, but it is less effective for discussing opinions or perspectives.

Sorry, but the only thing that is "clear" to me about all of this is that we're dealing with the same brain-washing social media // digital media machine that convinced everyone Amber Heard was a crazy woman and Johnny Depp was not guilty… To say that we know much at this point is stupid, but all that's really clear is Baldoni used some of the same architects of Johnny Depp's smear campaign against Amber Heard.

If you don't think you're persuadable, that is good evidence you are persuadable. I myself have had to re-evaluate my thoughts on Blake Lively after realizing that my bad opinion of her had been engineered by the social media and digital media I was consuming — a fact that I've judged other people for in the past with stuff involving Amber Heard… No one is above being influenced, and it takes a pro-active effort to resist this sort of influence — especially when it's paired with existing social prejudices we all have been influenced by, like sexism.

The comments thing doesn't really matter but imo after watching the recent video that was released, they have some lies in the lawsuit against Baldoni

It seems like they have used their money and power in hollywood for overpowering people and getting their way, so I'm curious how it will go bc I don't really see them losing even if they're making false accusations

There have been ongoing comments and rumors about her since Gossip Girl

As for it ends with us, she started her own smear campaign on herself by how she was saying, sorry not sorry, stup*d comments and selling her products on the press tour. Not only that, but she literally started by putting a PRIVATE and not even yet applied to a tribunal, complaint on the NYT with “proofs” that were edited to fit her narrative. Baldoni is of course gonna defend himself like any normal being who doesn’t like to be treated like garbage.
And now she is trying to gag order him and his legal team because he is doing the thing she started but with unedited proofs that show that she for most of the complaints lied or is not saying the whole truth.

And while yes, she could have felt uncomfortable around him, she has had a hard time proving any of that. Trying to seize control of a movie you are only part of and the sequel rights at the same time, sounds more like something that was planned.

If she was entirely honest, she would have given psychological reports, IC reports and not edited proofs. This is not helping her case, true or not.

100% agreed. So many people are missing the point here that OP was trying to make. While I doubt OP plans to bombard Reynolds and Lively's social media with comments, OP is correct that it is sus for them to block comments right after the wind has turned and the Baldoni side has started fighting back. It's interesting both Ryan's and Blake's recent posts have 'restricted comments' but Baldoni is allowing comments still. It's also interesting their first move was to request a 'Gag order' while he motioned to countersue but did not request to silence or gag the plaintiff. Their tactics seem shady and whether they are telling the truth of not so far they're not the ones looking good due to the weird ways they have chosen to fight this fight.

It's further strange that although the heart of the suit is allegedly about 'sexual harassment', there is literally no evidence provided of said harassment. The Lively legal team keeps going on and on about how they have 'provided tons of evidence', but all of that is related to the astroturfing and the smear campaign, aside from the 30 memo point items that were written in word and weren't evidenced or signed by any party so cannot be verified as being an actual true itemised list that was presented to Baldoni.

The fact there is literally 0 evidence of any of the alleged misconduct, not even a dated text message from Blake to Ryan etc., is kind of shady to begin with.

I think what really happened is they had creative differences, she disliked him, doubted his vision and also found him gross because of him having openly acknowledged past **** addiction, etc. Which meant she did not want to co-star with him, did not enjoy kissing him as part of the job, etc.

I think it's definitely strange that there isn't really more information as to what actually happened during the 'intervention' after the strike. Baldoni's team has failed to really provide an accurate counter-narrative to the one Blake has written. Without further information of what actually happened after the strike it's hard to really piece things together. She probably disliked it was a man doing a movie about women's themes as well imo.

Anyways. By the time the movie came out, Blake hated Baldoni. Once the film came out and the bad press happened, Blake was annoyed. And then what happened was that Stephanie Jones and her team had differences and they left. They returned their phone to Stephanie Jones. I'm assuming when she saw they were trying to poach her clients, including Baldoni, she reached out to Blake with those texts for revenge. Blake became angry because she had someone to blame for the bad press other than herself, and decided to go for revenge. She decided to use this angle because she felt it would be one she could win following all the #metoo cases a few years back and that it would get her sympathy from the public.

It's highly implausible that he would have willingly sexually harassed her openly on the film set of his directorial debut with dozens of eyewitnesses (cameramen, lighting people, sound people, etc.) when his goal was to make a good movie, not find a co-star he could grope. It's also highly implausible an actress as well-known and established as Blake would have just put up with it and finished the movie and not complain about it for several months if it really was a serious case of harassment.

That's my 2 cents. I'll also eat my hat if I'm proven wrong but that's where I currently stand on the issue.

I’m really bothered by her complaint about SH in that scene when the video shows to completely take his comment about her “smelling good” out of context. Blake has a long road to prove that she felt uncomfortable in this scene where two people were “acting in love” for the cameras. Her complaint also alleges that there was no sound and it didn’t require him to speak like that but in the video we see her directing them to talk throughout the filming. I’m just confused because her complaint doesn’t match what was represented in the video. I’ll definitely change my thoughts provided if her team drops additional evidence.

"An Intimacy Coordinator’s Take on That Awkward ‘It Ends With Us’ Video"

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/it-ends-with-us-video-intimacy-coordinator-1236116142/

Q: What stands out to you as an intimacy coordinator when you watch this scene?

A: The first thing is that he is trying to kiss her, and they clearly haven’t discussed that ahead of time, and she keeps pulling away and clearly doesn’t want to do that.

Q: Is there anything else you want to say about this video?

A: In a scene like that, without an intimacy coordinator, I think it was his responsibility to ask Blake, “Hey, what do you think about kissing in this scene?” if that’s what he wanted to see. But he didn’t ask her or even mention that it was something he wanted to shoot — he just went for it. She pulled away, and then he did it again. He definitely should have communicated that that was what he wanted to shoot, but he didn’t. To me, that’s pretty damning, both as an actor and a director
