Maybe Shallow will let the room someday but i don't see PF, BR n BTW to leave sometime soon. We are lucky enough to not ger again Lovegame  Justdance Million balls. Just hope tonhear again Merry the night, Heavy metal lover, Black Jesus, electric chapel. Oh BTW u were that B*tch!

Looked into pink friday 2 and this is so interesting to me...

The album spent its first 15 weeks in the top 50 of the Billboard200, slowly fell, popped back up to position 38 in its 20th week. Then it very quickly fell to the bottom of the chart. Exited and re-entered a few times before leaving at week 35 and never returning. For an album that spent its first 15 weeks in the top 50, that is extremely weird/ a complete freefall. 

It had 8-9 weeks in the top 10 too. Which is decent. Even chromatica charted longer (and we all know how short lived that era was)

Taylor has a more similar discography to lana. People don't just listen to one major hit and then leave. They are more likely to listen to an entire album than just the hits. Taylor is the 2nd most streamed artist on spotify daily. She is on what will probably be a really long hiatus and shes still killing it. 

I really like what taylor does. I hope that monsters will spend more time listening to gaga's albums all the way through like these projects deserve.

There was definitely something dodgy about that album sales 

From what I remember she released like dozens of digital versions all priced at $5 so fans could cheaply buy multiple versions of the album to help with sales 

But that's no longer allowed by Billboard 

It's just funny that now her fans use the good initial numbers the album got to drag down other artists when that album had no impact and made little noise 😄

But about 3M of those sales have to come from DWAS alone currently. 2,363,000,000/1500 = 1.575 Million sales from spotify alone. 

Just curious... MAYHEM is doing glorious in all regards and would have a great run even without dwas on it.

Like you said around 1.6M from DWAS, then 500K pure and the rest are Abra, Disease and the remaining tracks

The longer it passes, the more things will even out, especially if she releases another 2 singles or so

The share of album sales from DWAS has been steadily decreasing as the new tracks gain traction

We know DWAS contributes to about 43% of the total daily MAYHEM streams, maybe the DWA's EAS numbers are similar to that in percentage.

And the way Nicky had J. Cole, Drake, Lil Wayne, Future, Lil Uzi Vert and 50 Cent on her album and it didn't help her.

Agreed. But I assume that about 3 Million of the current album units come from DWAS alone. 1.5 Million from spotify and another 1.5M from youtube + apple music + all of the obscure streaming platforms and whatever relic itunes single sales the song has.

It was so bad for her. Was reflecting the other day how she imploded her legacy in early 2024 with those tweets aimed at megan. Like she seemed genuinely mentally ill and absolutely cruel/disilousioned. She could have focused on her gift, made amazing art, and created a beautiful legacy. But she has really been demoted to a '2010s singer'. That and the AI album covers. She used to release a ton of features, in the last year theres been almost none. I wonder if this is because people stopped asking her to be on their song or if she just doesn't care anymore. 

I honestly dont know how she could get back up from this. Her tour made almost no noise as well - well... at least no good noise.

That makes sense and it makes me believe that in reality MAYHEM sales are already way above 5M units WW

Abra has lots of streams too across all platforms 

Disease has a decent level of streams too and then the other album tracks are performing better than any of her other recent albums

I don't know how quickly Chart masters update their data but I'm sure it's not counting everything at this point

Oh disease, they called you a flop but it turns good sis did well.

-Lorde new song will debut #36 on the hot 100 and that's a perceived big success everywhere, Disease debut was #27.

-BORN AGAIN with lisa, doja & RAYE debut was #68 and only spent 2 weeks charting, disease did 8 weeks.

-The Giver, big push, big promo efforts and it's at #58 now despite the peak, charting for only 4 weeks atp, and I doubt it reaches 8 weeks like disease tbh

The truth is, almost all pop girls are kinda flopping on charts this year, gaga it's the exception to the rule, and she's proving that even more with Abracadabra.

According to Chartmasters, DWAS has total of 3.8 Billion AOD streams, which equals to 2.5M album units. 

"AOD (Audio on-demand) reflects total streams through all AOD platforms, Spotify included. The non-Spotify part is an algorithm based figure which considers the main artist's strength and Spotify shares in each market. AOD streams divided by 1,500 would provide equivalent album sales (EAS) for the track."
