I definitely agree that not having a solo smash since Applause is a valid statement. But I also believe that it’s overused with Gaga by her haters simply because it’s her. And we should recognize that they will, once again, move the goal posts and find another way to discredit Abracadabra. At some point, we need to just accept that winning over the haters is not important — we should focus on showing the casual listeners/GP just how impressive Gaga is.

I knew the song was bound to do very well globally due to Lisa's stans and it also has potential in the US thanks to Doja and Raye, it will be interesting to see how it behaves in the next couple of days.

It did around 900K in the US tho. Thailand carried that debut HARD. I don’t think it’s a threat, New Woman debuted around the same numbers and it didn’t become a hit at all.
