Germans use various different platforms to stream music, even if Spotify is leading the market with 37%... BUT, the German Charts are actually calculated by profit vs. (free) streams. Which means paid streams count a lot more for the charts, which in result makes Apple Music a lot more important for the charts. Since Spotify is often used for free in Germany, even if it has many users. 

For example: Disease flopped on German Spotify but was stable on Apple Music and still debuted at #70, even if the Spotify streams would've implicated it not even charting.

Question for US Chartsters: 

When Mayhem is released, are the equivalent units from DWAS, and the other singles included in the bb200 figure, or is it just included in the overall certification? 
 

for instance, (random numbers just to explain) - would mayhem say debut with 200k sales (billboard 200), but because of DWAS etc be certified Gold (500,000) if these sales are included in the album? 
 

does that make any sense?!?

Yes, your example is correct. What will count for its debut numbers are the pre-sales (the  physicals should be shipped during the first week) and the streams and sells that all the songs, including previously released singles, do that same week. For over-all numbers and certifications everything counts.

Sales prior to the release date only count for certifications and the overall sales. The first week sales will be the sales of just that week, and the physical sales shipped that week
